Finally this team is starting to come around. We felt nervous going into the third tonight because again, we had a two goal lead going in. This time however, we were able to stave off Merrigan and go on to a 6-4 win. The Hawks have a whole new attitude and a whole new rash of penalty minutes. I don't honestly think that we play dirty, simply that the referees hate us. We commit no more cheap shots than any other team out here, thats for sure. But for some reason, they call us for every single little thing that goes on. Oh well, we are learning to play well shorthanded. We did give up two shorthanded goals tonight early. So without the refs clear bias for any team that plays against us, we really did wipe out Merrigan tonight. Bruce didn't make it in tonight and he was sorely missed on defense. Bucky of course got his hat trick. Jeff Schools finally came out of the closet, or his slump, you pick, and scored two goals tonight. Mike Booth played an outstanding game on defense, fouling opposing offense at every turn. Next week we have the chiefs. See you there.
