*~~*Chapter 2*~~*

Typical girls, all the same. I never get the exciting girls, oh no, I am stuck with the boring girls. I mean, Nick’s girls always beautiful, just stunning. The Kevin, his wife is amazing and Brian’s too, both incredibly gorgeous. Howie even gets good girls, but I am stuck with plain, simple, brunettes.

It was time for me to take a vacation, didn’t matter where to me, as long as it was far, far away from the guys and their loves. So… I randomly choose a place, Scotland, sounded good enough to me. When the day came to go, I simple told the guys I would be back when I was ready and rested and I left. Sitting on the plane, my disguise making me invisible, I realized how lame my life had become. I was running away in a sense. I was running from everything.

I walked on the plane and took out my ticket. First class, Row 4, Seat 2. I glance at the aisle; there is a flaming red haired angel. She has headphones on and is reading a book. I sit beside her, thanking god for big chairs in first class. She didn’t look too happy and the last thing I wanted to do was make it worse.

A stewardess comes over to us as the plane begins to move. "Ma’am, you’ll have to turn off your headphones until we get in the air," the stewardess tells her, leaning over slightly.

"Uh, okay. No problem," she answers and puts the headphones around her neck. She then looks at me and I can tell she just noticed I was there.

After a few moments I looked at her and realized she was holding onto her seat very tightly. "I take it you don’t like flying?" It was a question, in hopes that she would answer and we could have some sort of conversation.

"Hate it with a passion," she says with a nervous laugh. "I wouldn’t fly if I didn’t have to! Just don’t have a choice this time! I’m Lillian," She says, holding out her hand & I shake it. "You wouldn’t happen to want to switch seats with me, would ya? I can’t stand to be seated next to a window in a plane!"

"Uh, I’m Alex & no, I wouldn’t mind. I actually like window seats better," I say, answering her question truthfully.

"Great, thank you so much." A flash of relief shoots through her eyes.

"No problem." We are silent for a few minutes as the plane picks up speed to take off. I look at her; her knuckles are nearly white from holding the seat. I thought I would try and take her mind off the flight. "So why are you heading out to Scotland?" I ask, causing her to turn to me.

"Family reunion. Plus I need a vacation, how about yourself?" She let go of the seat and turned to face me.

"I just really needed a break from everything. I have been a lot of places, but Scotland is not one. I thought I would come and check it out; I have always been interested in Scotland," I say with a nod of completion. She smiles softly and nods also.
