Chapter 3 – Somewhere in London

“I can’t believe you didn’t succeed in your mission. It should have been a very simple kill for you,” the man hissed, firelight glinting off his fangs, his brown eyes glittering.

“You told me to make an example of the two youngsters; I gave my own type of example. They will be more careful in the future,” the younger man said.

“Not only will they be more careful, they will be searching now. You left both of them alive! I can understand you leaving one alive, but they both lived! Now, what do you suggest needs to be done about this small problem?”

“I will finish the job, sir,” the younger man said, bowing, his hand never leaving his sword, nor his eyes never leaving the man sitting in front of the fireplace. He raised up and backed out of the room, not trusting the man enough to turn his back on him. He would finish the job he started and then return for his brother.
