After two days of packing boxes & loading Alex’s truck, the two girls were more than ready for a night out.
Lynn had already taken a shower & changed and was in the living room, checking her camera & equipment while Alex took her shower. She was on the phone when Alex walked in the room.
“Oh, Alex, any shoes except heels!”
“Why? What’s wrong with my boots?” Alex asked.
“Trust me! Just no heels,” was all Lynn said. She then spoke to the person on the other end of the phone, “Ok, I’ll see ya then. Bye!”
She then turned her attention to Alex, who was still standing in the doorway with her hands on her hips, but now barefoot, her boots on the floor. “Wow, not too bad. Toned down a little from high school, but not by much!” she laughed, taking in her 5’6” friend dressed in tight black jeans, dark green lace & satin corset top, her waist length brown hair loose down her back, simple makeup, but lots of silver jewelry. The only thing that had changed since high school was the fact that Alex now had a very large tattoo of a dragon and roses covering her entire back, a small nose ring & a belly ring.
Lynn, herself only 5’8”, was dressed in tight blue jeans & a black tee shirt and low-heeled boots. Her makeup & silver jewelry was kept to a minimum.
“Well, since you told me ‘no heels’, I better try to go find my other boots. Then we should be ready to go; I’m ready for a beer & a couple games of pool.”
