Module Summaries:
-1st- Dark Endeavor
Baalthazar, Einhonder, and Rhylind all arrived separately in the city of Greyhawk. After being in town for a few weeks the party was soon contacted and asked to attend a meeting. A warrior named Thaig brought them to a man named Denex who was to hire the heroes on behave a wizard named Luvien. It was here that the party members discovered they all wore rings with like insignia’s. Denex informed them that a dark wizard named Alorium would be traveling through greyhawk on a quest to resurrect a long dead necromancer named Sith Theigis. The party was hired to stop Alorium and return the Necromancers ashes. After some assistance from old man ray the party was able to track Alorium to the city of Blackstone. There they encountered a cloaked ghost called the Duetronomer. He informed the party that Alorium was headed for the Tomb of Korinthal the dark. The party was also informed that the tomb had been long ago sealed by the gnomish magician known as Polius Ru’. After solving many riddles and puzzles the party gained entrance into the tomb. They were then able to slay Alorium and recover the ashes. They attempted to open the grave of Korinthal the dark but were blocked by a crypt thing. After that they return to greyhawk and were met by Luvien. Apparently an old and powerful wizard. His face was marked by a steel mask that covered half of it. He gave them their payment and said that he may need their services in the future.
-2nd- A Tale of two Swords:
Einhonder, Baalthazar, Rhylind, Targalen, Krust, and Rex were summoned to a mansion in the high quarter. There they were led into an underground complex and brought before a cloaked council of men. The council hired them to obtain an ancient weapon known as the sword Ademiclyes. The weapon had apparently been sighted in the horde of the dragon Durthang. The party was to recover the sword at any cost. The council futher explained that any time they hired adventures they made them drink an elixer of forgetfulness after they journey. Thus wipping any events of the adventure from their memory. This served to protect the secrecy of the council. The party agreed. They set out to find the dragon’s lair which was situated in the screaming valley just north of the city of Soulrid(sourlode). Once there the party found the dragon dead and his horde taken. They came upon a paladin named Thadian praying above the dragon who apparently had been his friend. The paladin explained that Durthang had been killed by the evil dragon slayer Ancalagon Grimsmor. The party then departed to hunt down the dragonslayer while the paladin remained to mourn the loss of his friend. The party traveled to Soulrid to consult the wisdom of Alenak the Eratic. A strange one eyed wizard who is known for confusing behavior. Alenak casted a spell of scrying and allowed the Party to look into his crystal ball. They discovered that Ancalagon had hired theives to assassinate all the priests of the temple of Pholtus in Storaven. Apparently the dragon slayer was going to trade the sword ademclyes to the few remaining knight of Ademicles. A long lost knighthood in service to the ancient church of Pholtus. The Knights were good but blinded by thier devotion to the knighthood. Above even their devotion to Pholtus. They beleived that with the sword they would once again make the knighthood great. In return these knights had stolen the sword of Doom from the vault of Pholtus so as to trade it to Ancalagon. Alanak explained that the sword of doom was one of the most powerful and ancient artifacts on Oerth. It had been forged centuries ago by the greatest wizard who ever lived. Its iron taken from the core of a frozen star and forged by flames stolen from the sun. The sword had been forged for a great warlord whose name has been lost in time. But through magical means unbeknownst to all a shadow of this warlord remains on oerth. Everstalking in an attempt to retrieve the sword. This being is known only as the Destroyer. The artifact was wholly evil and could not fall into the hands of the dragon slayer, or worse still, attract the attention of the Destroyer. The party immediately set off for storaven. Once there they found most of the priests dead. The party was attack by managed to kill the assassins who had done this. From the remaining priests they discovered that the knights of Ademiclyes were led by an aged man named Torin Blackforge who had become deperate in his attempts to revitalize the knights of Ademicles. The party was able to gather more info from an assassin they had captured. Apparently Torin had sent his first luetenent Tumas to the keep of Ancalagon. There he would trade the Sword of Doom for the Sword Ademiclyes. The party had to reach the keep first. Once at the keep the party met up with Thadian. Together they would destroy the dragonslayer. As they came upon the thrown room they heard talking. The trade was in progress. Tumas held only hatred for the dragon slayer and so after the exchange he attacked Ancalagon. The dragonslayer quickly detroyed him and now held both swords. Enter the party. The battle commenced. With the help of Thadian the party was gaining the advantage . Then the Destroyer arrived. Comprised of only darkness the creature beckoned Ancalagon for the sword. Ancalagon was ready for the battle. The party was ready for an exit. When without warning Thadian changed shape into his true form of a silver dragon. “Finish the dragonslayer he cryed”. As he clashed with the destroyer. The party fought valiantly and slew the Dragon slayer. Then they ran outside to help thadian. Once in the light of day the Dragon was able to fend off the destroyed but he had been wounded. And like any wound inflicted by the destroyer, there could be no healing. The wounds would continue to grow until nothing remained. And so Thadian the silver dragon died. The party collected both the sword of doom and the sword of ademiclyes aswell as running the dead people for their shit. They returned to greyhawk and gave over the sword of Ademiclyes, making sure not to mention the sword of doom. They were then fed the elixer and were ushered out. A few hours later one of the council gave them something to counteract the elixer allowing them to keep their memories of the adventure. He explained they he may need their surfaces in the future and that they might need they prior experiences to aid them in things to come. He said his name was steve and he would call on them again.
-Sub adventure-When Baalthazar returned home he found himself evicted. He paid it little mind for he was planning on taking a massive journey anyway. He had decided to travel hundreds of miles to seek the Cathedrel of Pholtus and hopefully return the sword of doom to the vault. Einhonder accompanied him. After 2 months travel they arrived at the Cathedrel. The high priests there informed them that what they had was not the sword of Doom but a slightly magical weapon called a sword of darkness. The priests took it none the less and thanked the adventurers.
-3rd-Falcon’s Revenge:
Baalthazar & Einhonder now accompanied by Gilfamis returned from their journey to find greyhawk a changed place. Adventurers were being driven out of town and no inns would take them. They eventual ended up at an inn called the whistling fish run by a friendly hill giant. The party joined up with a paladin named Talasek in an effort to discover the source of these strange events. Through must investigation the party discovered that the long banished cult of Iuz had returned to greyhawk and was now attempting to free their magically imprisioned leader. A vile snake woman known as the Falcon. With little help from the church of St. Cuthbert the party managed to break up the cult but the Falcon had been freed and had escaped.
-4th-Falconmaster:
Baalthazar, Einhonder, and Targalen set out to find the falcon. The Paladin Talasek had discovered the location of the falcons old lair. The party traveled their while disputing amongst themselves. Eventually they came upon the lair and tracked down the falcon. She tried to escape but the adventurers were too good. Thus she was slain. Upon returning to greyhawk the party angered the priest at the church of St. Cuthbert. In anycase the falcon was dead.
-5th-Into the Heart of Darkness:
Baalthazar, Einhonder, and Targalen were all summoned by Luvien. The ashes of Sith Theigis had been stolen by adventures. Luvien was not too worried for he had trapped the necromancers soul making resurrection impossible. However he hire the party to track the other party back to their employer. They were to find out why this person wanted the ashes and then they were to kill him. The party soon joined up with captain hawks and his ship the dragoon. They tracked another ship that now carried the other party, it was called the red serpent. On the ship they joined up matt the theif. The trail led to the ruined city of chathold in the fallen realm of Almor, now part of the great kingdom. There they were ambushed by 2 members of the party they were tracking. They were twin elvin brother archers. The party defeated them and began to track the party accross the great kingdom. Along the way they saw the Noth Dreadrin and his army defeat Ivid southern army. They were next to be ambushed by the mage and priest of the party they were tracking but smelled the trap and snuk past it. The following day they witness the now animuse duke of almor being escorted bak to his city to reastablish rule in ivids name. Then they were ambushed by more members of the enemy party. 2 Theives and a dwarven battlerager. The entire party was defeated. They later learned that before the dwarf and his friends could slay the unconsious party they were attacked by the destroyer. The destroyer disintergrated the dwarf, one theif, and Einhonder. Then the creature made off with einhonder’s sword. Targalen awoke later and got the party back on their feet. Matt the theif turned out to be an assassin named Lobo hobbs. A member of the assassins guild in greyhawk sent to hunt down the now dead theives of the party they were tracking. He agreed to help the party for the rest of the mission. The trail led to the capital city of Raxes. The city was superbly fortified by a massive army and huge guard. It was further protected by devils and mages. Soon a war began. The now animuse Drax the invulnerable had come back with his army. The distraction of this massive battle allowed the party entry. They were soon led to the palace courtyard. Again they saw m,assive fortifications. But the conquer Noth dreadrin had secretly entered the vulnerable side of the city and had begun attacking the palace gates. Again this allowed the party to get inside. The came finally upon the high cathedral of Hextor. Insid ethey crept and soon found evidence that the employer was patriarch general Pyrmaddian of the temple of hextor. The number 3 man in the great kingdom. Apparently Ivid had formed an alliance with a devil named Baalzephon. It was this alliance that allowed ivid the use of devils in his kingdom. But the now animuse Ivid was dying. When he fell the inheriter of the kingdom would either be Pyrmaddian of the great socerer Korlock. Korlock had already established a relationship with the devil via gate spells. With the devil’s alliance korlock would surely win. To contermand this Pyrmaddian had been trying to recover the crook of rao, an artifact that was ultra powerful vs. all fiends of the lower planes. His research led him to beleive that sith theigis could help him find it. Sith had used the crook long ago and pyrmaddian beleived that sith may have even created it. Anyway, he had hire the other party to steal the ashes so that he could commune with the dead necromancer. This attempt had failed though for the necromancers soul was trapped. After learning this the party simply waited for pyrmaddian to return. Meanwhile both the armies of Noth dreadrin and drax the invulnerable were slain. Afterwards pyrmaddian returned and was ambushed. The party wrecked him. Afterwards baalthazar took disguise as Pyrmaddian and stole his carriage. The party rode this carriage safely back to Chathold. There captain hawks picked them up and brought thme home. Luvien was glad the party had succeeded but feared the situation could grow worse. He fortold that he would call upon them again.
-6th-White Plume mountain:
After the party had managed to sustain many assassination attempts by assassins from the great kingdom they were called on by Ren o’ the Star, head of the merchants and traders union. Apparently 3 magic items had been stolen from 3 different members of the merchants union. A cryptic note was left which invited the merchants to try and sent heroes to get them back. It was signed Keraptis, a long dead wizard who had long seeked immortality. The clues left in the note hinted that the items were being held at White Plume Mountain. An inactive volcano in the sheildlands. Baalthazar, Einhonder, Targalen, and Glinfrimmus set off on the dragoon and were joined by a gnomish scout named Bizcut. At the shores of the sheildlands the party was halted by a wizard in Iuz;s service. As the sheildlands is within Iuz’s territory the wizard asked them to leave. They paid him off instead. After a few days travel into the sheildlands the party met an old witch name thingizzard. She informed them that Keraptis was long gone. Then they traveld into the underground caverns of white plume mountain. Inside they met many dangers. They were forced to defeat manticores, a giant crab, and a vampire. After which they retrieved the 3 items. They were Wave, a magic trident, Whelm, a magic warhammer, and Blackrazor, a powerfully evil long sword. Upon leaving the mountain the party was attacked by Marzden’s adventuring party. They had been tracking down the party the entire time. The party was in bad shape and could not risk fighting. Instead they ran back into the mountain and hid. They soon encountered a gnome/halfling calling himself Keraptis. The little basterd agreed to show the party the way out as long as they gave him Gilfamous’s spellbook. Instead gilfamus copyed the book for them. Outside the party came to find Marzedens parties horses. They stole them and rode comfortably home. Upon reaching home gilfamus began an investagtion into an odd spell within a spellbook he had taken from the mountain. He had the guild of wizardry check it out. They discerned that the spell stored all keraptis memories from life aswell as his personalty. Once memorized the spell would make a wizard beleive he was keraptis. He would have keraptis’s memories and personalty. This was one of Keraptis attempts at immortality. The halfing/gnome they encountered had been victum to this.
-7th-The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth:
The party was summoned by the Margrave of the fallen nation of Bissel. The margrave is that nations monarch government in exile now living within the city of greyhawk. Bissel is now dominated by the armies of ket allied to Iuz. Within the nation of Bissel lies the lost caverns of Tsojcanth which was at one time the lair of the long dead witchmage Iggwilv. Mother of Iuz. The margrave was scared that the occupying forces would discover the caverns and gain the ultra powerful magic items within Iggwilvs former lair. The party was hired to reclaim this treasure before the forces of Iuz did. If they came accross a black cudgel they were to return that to the margrave. And so Baalthazar,Targalen, Glinfrimmus, and Markos traveled 7 days accross the flanaess to the fallen realm of Bissel. They had a few encounters but finally reached the Lost caverns of Tsojcanth. Within they battled many monsters including 2 formian giants. They wandered throughout the confusing caverns for over 2 days. Intermittently they found themselves in the crypt of lyzandred the mad and were forced to solve riddles to return to the caverns. Apparently Lyzandred’s demiplane realm was trying to transsubstantiate the caverns in order to take its place. To what end no one can say. After nogotiating the caverns the party managed to circumvent the magical wards to the treasure horde of iggwilv. Inside they found a sleeping woman who was later revealed to be the half demon alu-fiend daughter of Iggwilv. Her name was Drelzna. At some point in the conversation the party angered the fiend and she attacked. She took the entire party down one by one. When the party awoke they were in the living room of Lyzandred the mad. Lyzandred informed them that drelzna had stolen their souls and escaped into his puzzling crypt. Once she left the main room she broke the enchantments that had been preventing lyzandreds realm from appearing. Afterwards the party found themselves in Lyzandred chambers. Lyzabdred was civil to the party but basically asked them to leave. They did. Not long after the party discovered that each of their best magic items were gone, taken by drelzna. The party traveld home only to finbd out that with out souls their bodies would begin to decrreptate. The party immediately vowed to find and slay this Drelzna before it was too late.
-8th-Lost Souls (Back to the crypt of Lyzandred.):
After discovering that without souls the party would begin to decrepitate, they made the discision to return to the crypt of lyzandred the mad to hunt down Drelzna. Just before they were about to set off Baalthazar found Targalenm and Glinfrimmus in a comatose state. All attempts to rejuvenate them failed. So Baalthazar and Markos took them in tow. They were soon joined by Einhonder who had made a full recovery. They set off accross the land back to the fallen realm of Bissel. After 7 days travel they reached the crypt of lyzandred themad. They were not very successful in solving the puzzles but managed to slay what they could not outwit. After 7 puzzle room the party came to a dead end. They were forced to leave. Outside they were met by Korlock and the fiend known as pestilence. The party immediately recognized Korlock as Ivid’s court wizard. Korlock said that Lyzandred crypt was already gone. The tomb they had just searched is but a training ground for which the mad lich uses to test adventurers. In any case Korlock had come to make a trade,. Through some means Drelzna had escaped Lyzandred’s crypt and was now in the hands of Korlock. In exchange Korlock either wanted the soul of sith theigis or where he could aquire the soul. Korlock went on to say that he had given this offer to targalen and glinfrimmus but they were not accomadating, he apparently was responsible for their condition. The party thought over what course of action to take and Baalthazar made a move. Baalthazar led him along and had the wizard teleport them back to greyhawk. Once there Baalthazar had the wizard and the party wait while he went to go see Luvien. Luvien denied Baalthazar the soul but before the conversation was over Korlock came through the door. Korlock immediately recognized Luvien as Luvien began to recognize him. Korlock let down his illusion and revealed himself to be the now animuse form of Sith theigis. Apparently Pyrmmadian had resurrected sith as an animuse before he had been slain. But Theigis still had no soul. Baalthazar ran while Sith Theigis lightning blasted Luvien and stunned Thaig. Theigis went through a secret passage in the flor which led to Luvien’s underground tower. Baalthazar tried to follow but was caught. Sith theigis let him leave. Afterwards Baalthazar hid out and watched what happended. The guards came and took Luviens dead body. Then they arrested Thaig. Baalthazar and the party went to the jail to talk with thaig but acted strange in front of the constable. The guards then tried to arrest the party. Baalthazar fled. While walking through the street invisable he was approached the an invisable creature. Probably pestilence. The creature gave him Drelzna’s unconsious budy. On her body was a gem. Baalthazar who was now a fugitive hid out in shack town and interragted Drelzna. The two struck a deal that first drelsna would give Baalthazar his soul back then baalthazr would free her and then she would return his friends souls. Ofcourse she gave him his soul, he let her go, and then she left. Baalthazar then went to ray and discovered that the gem was drelzna’s sould gem, all demons have one. Baalthazar concluded that she was building her strength and would return for the gem. Thus he destroyed it. Upon doing so all the souls that drelzna had came into baalthazar. One soul tried to take possesion of Baalthazar. Baalthazar ran through streets of greyhawk while trying to battle this evil soul within him. He returned his friends souls to them before he was forced to let loose all souls within his. There was over 150. One soul took form as an astral fiend before him. It glared at him with glowing eyes and fled. It was definately female. After that Baalthazar turned himself into the guards. He was charged with resisting arrest. At the trail Constable Derider put in a good word for him. As a result he was sentenced to time already served but lost his executioner’s license.
-9th-Mordenkainen’s Fantastic adventue:
The party was summoned by Mordenkainen. He was worried about a growing evil he felt eminating from the inpenetrable Maure castle. He sent the party on a seek and destroy mission to find this evil and smite it. He himself had other matters to attend to. Baalthazar, Einhonder, Glinfrimmus, and Markos set off by means of flying granted by Mordenkainen. Near the castle they were met by Warnes Starcoat, a powerful socerer who had been helping Mordenkainen. Warnes showed them the entrance and left. Inside the party met up with another adventuring party led by a human fighter named Ruken. A pact was stuck between the two groups. From now on whenever either party went on an adventure they would inform the other party. So if one whole party was ever slain, it would become the other party’s goal to resurrect them. The two parties took turns exploring the dungeon but the illusionist in the other party just went in with whoever. His name was Polius Rutwo. Inside the party traveled far into the depths and came upon doom. There in the castles bowels stood Kezrit, a trapped major demon. The party battled long and hard, this was made more difficult because kezrit gated in 2 glabrezu true tanar ri. In the end Glinnfrimmus stood victorius but Baalthazar had been slain. The other party was able to raise him back to life. The party regrouped and went in again. Finally coming upon the culprit. A powerful wizard named Tormast who been using the castle as his lair. Tormast was obsessed with the evil and arcane wizardry of the ancients. His journal spoke of the forgotten temple of Tharizdun and the Forbidden city of elders. He had been using a libram known as the tome of the black heart. That is how he had summoned Kezrit. The party made short work of the unprepared wizard and get out of town. They gave the book to Mordenkainen who was very pleased with their performance. He gave them magic items as payment plus an Iron golem as a bonus.
-10th-Return of the eight:
The parrty was on their way home from a celebration at the whistling fish when they found edwina the psuedo dragon drugged and distressed in the street. The party had met the little dragon before and new it to be the familiar of Jallarzi Sallavarian of the cirlcle of eight. Not long after finding the tiny dragon the party was attacked by thugs. They kicked their ass. From there they decided to investigate Jallarzi’s tower and see if she was ok. The group, consisting of Baalthazar, Einhonder, Targalen, Glinfrimmus and the aquatic elf newcomer Atraymis Entearson. went to her tower. Upon arriving there they met up with Warnes starcoat, an ultra powerful socerer who the party learned was going to be a new member to the circle of eight. Not long after his arrival the party witness an attack. Jallarzi emerged from a tower walll striking Warnes with fire missiles. Then she vanished. Warnes was struck unconsious and unrevivablke. The party put him up at the whistling fish and went to investigate the tower. Inside they found the tower pillaged and gathered evidence which hinted that that the villian may have fled to Tensers long vacated castle. The party headed north to the the castle. On the way they stopped at the end of days inn. There they saw warduke and also marzdens gang. The parties nemisis. The two adventuring parties went outside and clashed. The party defeated them. The next day they arrived at Tensers castle. This castle had also been pillaged. Eventuallty the party discovered a gate which brought them to Luna. One of greyhawks moons. Once there they party came upon Tenser’s clone who had been polymorphed into a goblinoid. Tenser was able to tell them that Iggwilv had returned. She was now allied to a powerful demon named Tuerny. She had activated a great abyssal gate and conjured an army of demons. Soon when the planets were in alignment she would open a gate from luna to oerth and march her armies on the flanaess. Her son Iuz stood ready to join her. To prevent this the party would have to reverse the abyssal gate which would return all the demons to their home plane. Unfortunately when the party went to do this they were found by Tuerny. They took him down and reversed the gate. Upon returning home the party was congradulated and thanked by mordenkainen and the circle of five. They were then told who the new members of the eight would be. Tenser was retruned to his form and gaved the party many great magic items

-11th-The Tomb of Horrors:
The party found themselves summoned by Sith Theigis. Sith needed an item recovered from a terrible dungeon and he was going to have the party do it for him. He threatened to simply kill them and take their souls and thus force them to enter. But he gave them the option to just do it. So they did. The mission was to recover a silver skull key from the most terrible dungeon of all time. The tomb of Horrors. The heroes went to skull island and delved into the horrible place. Once there the characters fell victum to many different traps and dooms. they were all killed. In time Markos Bowman came looking for them with more adventurers. markos's group was also slain or imprisioned. Finally Rymind Falbizaar came with his adventuring party and managed to rescue the party. Instead of escaping they chose to finish the mission. Many more adventurers died but in the end the last man standing managed to destroy the soul of the demilich arezod, thus conquering the tomb. They retrieved the skull key and gave it to Sith.
-12th-Vecna Lives:
The party while resting in the city heard the most shocking news. The entire corcle of eoght had been slain. As the party began to investigate they discovered that the old cult of the Falcon had been at work. But now they were in service of the long dead socerer Vecna. Through the course of the adventure the heroes learned that the vile lich had acheived demigod status. He would have to be destroyed. Begrudgingly the party went to face him. As they tracked the lich down things grew worse. Clerics everywhere were loosing their power. Vecna had managed to cut every other gods reach into greyhawk off. Now only he and Iuz had dominance in the world. Iuz only maintained his power for he himself lived on Oerth and thus was inside the magical sheilding Vecna had created. But before the heroes could get close to Vecna they found themselves banished. They were sent to vencas prison in the para elemental plane of ash. There they came upon a citadel where kept was every being who every challenged Vecna. Even Vecna's oldest adversary was there. The great warrior Kas. H e was now a true vampire due to the forces of the negative energy plane which sits just below the elemental plane of ash. With Kas's help they managed to escape. Back on Oerth the party traveled with Kas to Tovag Bragu. A massive magical stone feild created long ago by the Suel. There they found Vecna and his followers. Vecna had opened up gates into the past. These gates lead to the empires he had ruled in millenia past. he was going to march his followers from the past and into the present so as to make himself a greater god. The party knew they could not stand against him so they summoned the one being that could. Iuz, the demon god. Ofcourse Iuz came to stand against Vecna. He was not going to surrender the world to the dark lich. So the two gods battled but as the battle proceeded Vecna was proving to be to much for Iuz. Kas, seeing that they were all doomed sought to escape into the past so he entered the timegate. Upon doing so the gate became a black void. As vecna crushed Iuz the heroes did the only thing they could. They stormed Vecna and sent him hurtling into the gate, banished beyond space and time.
-13th-Seven days to Doom:
On a bright and sunny morning in Greyahawk city the heroes awoke to find demons reigning from the sky. An army of hundreds of fiends had come down upon them. The heroes were helpless as the demons began to rip the city apart. In less then an hour the demons ahd taken the city. Above the city gates the heroes saw Iuz with the archwitch Iggwilv at his side. Iuz proclaimed that the city of Greyhawk was now his and that the people were now his subjects. But before the demongod could finish his coronation ceremony forces came to stand against him. The entire circle of eight long thought dead appeared. Iggwilv and The Boneheart (iuz elite socerers) came down upon them. The magical battle that ensued was earth shattering. The demons tryed to storm the circle of eight but could not reach them. For when they tryed dozens of greyhawk dragons appeared from within the city. Apparently there were many good aligned dragons residing in the city acting as its protectors. As the massive battle continued an enormous multicolored semi-sphere came up over the city. It was sheilding the city against the demons. The magic was emanating from Mordenkainens tower. With no delay the party headed there. Once there they met with the ancient retired wizard Leomund. Leomund greated the party and informed them that Mordenkainen needed their help. Mordenkainen spoke to them via a crystal ball. He told them that they must find the crook of rao. It was the only artifact that could save the city. But the artifact had been lost long ago. Mordenkainen could not aid them for he was in the lower planes attempting to discover where there demons had come from. But he said Tenser would join them as soon as he could. So the party set off to find Drax the Invulnerable for he had been the last known keeper of the crook of rao. When the party finally reached Drax they learned that Drax had traded it to Sith Theigis in exchange for his soul. So the party pressed on into the capital city of Raxes where Sith had been masquerading as King Ivids high wizard. Once in Raxes they found the city in Runes. Only the made king and his few elite fiend knights remained. Sith welcomed the charcters but told them he no longer had the crook either. To get it they would have to deal with someone else. Sith then opened a gate to Baator. The charcters were greeted from beyond the gate by a pit fiend calling himself Scartch. Scratch told the heroes that Iuz's mother and ally Iggwilv had made a deal with the devil lord Baalzebul. Baalzebul had given Iggwilv the true name of the demonlord Pazrael, further more Baalzebul had sent his servant to aid Iggwilv. The servant was a foul creature known only as the Garkin. Once Iggwilv had gained the true name of Pazrael, she had imprisoned the demon on Oerth and had opened a gate to bring forth pazraels demon legions. This is where the demons had come from. After informing the party of this Scratch freely gave them the crook. With the crook in hand the party traveled straight to Dorokka, Iuz's capital city. there they would venture into Iuz's dungeon and banish Pazrael with the crook. If Pazrael was banished his forces would also dissappear. Tenser joined up with the heros and togther they went. In the depths of Dorokka the party came upon The Garkin. A powerful half fiend lord who had long ago been a mortal named Rygar. Iuz and iggwilv soon appeared as well as the blackheart (Iuz's elite knights). But as the party began to become outnumbered help arrived. Mordenkainen stepped through a gate with the extraplanar hero Lucas arcanum, the battle was on. Lukas and the garking clashed, Mordenkainen and Iggwilv clashed, Tenser and Iuz clashed, while the party went head to head with the blackheart. Mordenkainen, tenser, and lukas were all slain. As was iggwilv and the Blackheart. The battle had been widdled away to the party vs Iuz and the garkin. The garkin turned on Iuz but was crushed. With him badly wounded the party managed to drive off Iuz. They broke through the dungeons and quickly banished Pazrael. The demon army vanished and Greyhawk was saved. Mordenkain had managed to survive thanx to his contingencies. He informed the heroes of what he had learned on the outter planes. The reason Baalzebul gave Iggwilv Pazraels true name is because he knew what she would do. Once pazraels abyssal domain was vacated, Baalzebuls troops could enter the abyss and take the domain for himself, thus gaining a massive foothold in the bloodwar. Unfortunatly Who ever scratch was working for (probably another Devil lord) could not allow baalzebul that victory, and so they helped the party. Either way, Greyhawk was saved.
