Marginals grow at the edge {or margins} of ponds and streams, in the shallow water.

Water Iris{hardy} blooms for 3~4 weeks, and then has an attractive fan appearence.
The tropical {annual} variety has a more flamboyant appearance but of course must be replaced each year.

Sweet Flag is an evergreen marginal and grows well in the stone which covers the bottom of your pond.

Water Parsnip is a late blooming perennial that blooms into Fall. Once it is frosted it will last into December and has a wonderful Winter presence.
{
Cattails will also last through a frost giving that Winter Presence.}

Arrowheads {tropical} will flower all season with constant dead~heading. Hardy varieties are available, but have less blooms.

More to come...
