The entire Christian-DDP storyline was the idea of writer Brian Gewirtz. Gewirtz is a real
life good friend of Edge & Christian and has caught heat in the past for favoring them.

European Title match a ‘good thing’
by Phil Speer
TORONTO – It was a homecoming for two of the participants, and a dream come true for the other.
Christian and referee Jim Korderas participated in WrestleMania in their hometown. Meanwhile, Diamond Dallas Page finally realized his dream after 18 years – he wrestled in his first WrestleMania.
“I remember when WrestleMania was here when I was just a kid,” said Christian, referring to WrestleMania VI. “To be about to participate in it now is just awesome. Hopefully we’ll be able to do it again.”
DDP said accomplishing his dream was just a matter of making dreams come true for others.
“I believe I can get whatever I want, as long as I help enough people get what they want,” Page said, adding that his “motivational speaker” getup is more than just a gimmick.
Page said he was a little nervous going into his first WrestleMania, and that the beginning of the match was “a little shaky.” But the crowd really got into it at the end to make for a dramatic finish, and that’s what the fans will remember, Page said.
Page said he went so far as to fly his doctor to Canada “to make sure I was as finely tuned as possible for the next three days.”
The 68,000 fans jammed into SkyDome are the most that Page has ever wrestled in front of. He was part of WrestleMania VI, which was also held in Toronto, but it was only because he owned a pink Cadillac -- his role was to drive the Honky Tonk Man to the ring. The difference between WrestleMania VI and WrestleMania X8, Page joked, was “wanting and being.”
In spite of the fact that Christian is a native of Orangeville, Ontario – located 45 minutes outside Toronto – and that he studied to become a wrestler in T.O., the crowd mostly got behind DDP, which is was important because Page was supposed to be the fan favorite.
“They chanted DDP, so that was a good thing,” Page said.
Page added that he hopes this will not be his last WrestleMania.
Korderas refereed at WrestleMania VI, but he said the thrill of performing in front of close to 70,000 fans never wanes.
“It’s not just going out in front of 70,000,” Korderas said. “But to go out in front of
70,000 people for this company – and this is the best company to work for in the world –
is just a rush. It’s just an absolute thrill -- especially because I’m in my own hometown.”

Christian Net has reopened. Go check it out!
I also was checking out the new action figures and saw that there will be a Christian action figure in the new Bone Crunching action figures, but get this...the action figure features Christian WITHOUT A SHIRT!!! Keep your eyes peeled for that one!
At WWF's new website WWF Year In Review You can vote for Christian in 5 different areas, Breakout Performer, Rivarly of the Year, Tag Team of the Year, Entrance Theme of the Year, and Moment of the Year. Let's show the WWF we love watching Christian perform and go vote!
- Christian: He will recruit followers from a group of angry, disgruntled siblings.
- Edge: Will come close to winning the WWF championship but each time he does, Christian will come in the way. Only when he removes Christian from the picture will Edge accomplish his goal.
- Chris Jericho: Y2J will team up with a trusted companion who will help him complete his "meteoric rise" to the top of the WWF. All this happens after he loses a major title to a very much hated foe.
I posted Chris Jericho's as well because there was another rumor I posted here earlier about Christian teaming with Jericho.
Chris-tian! Chris-tian! At last, you're hosting HEAT!
The European Champion himself will be at WWF New York this Sunday for HEAT, at 7/6 CT, live on MTV! Christian is always a handful, but after being choked out by Tazz on SmackDown!, will the European Champion and the HEAT co-host be able to get along? Find out this Sunday!
Several matches have already been announced for this Sunday's show. Trish Stratus will defend the Women's Championship against Jacqueline. Also, Big Show takes on Chuck Palumbo, and Perry Saturn goes one-on-one with Funaki!
So be sure to catch all the action this Sunday at 7/6 CT on MTV, when Christian hosts HEAT!

Please remember this is a rumor. As much as I loved E&C together, I don't think the WWF has plans to reunite them this soon.
Tables, Ladders and Chairs II - WrestleMania X-Seven
Edge vs. Christian - Ladder Match - No Mercy
If you want one or both of these matches chosen, go to WWF.com to vote. Let's get Christian another match of the year!
Rumor also states that Edge will be dropping his belt to Regal due to Edge's back problems. This may mean an opening for Christian to actually getting a storyline. It almost seems like E&C are still in a tag team. For a while it seemed like they both were sharing match times. Like if Christian was on Smackdown Edge was on Heat, or if Edge was on RAW, Christian was on Jakked. It seems like things have evened out now. But it would still be nice to see Christian have a story angle! I would really like to see him team up with Jericho in a story angle, they would be great together!
What do you think? Post it in Christian's Fan Forum!
