Jonara Blu is the combined effort of two sisters who have enjoyed beading since they were children. We are Jamee Jones and Kimberlee Aihara. Jones = 'JON' and Aihara = 'ARA' hence we came up with 'Jonara'. The Blu represents the blue ocean we see ourselves surrounded by everyday living here on the Island of Maui.
Raised in California, we came to the island of Maui over 10 years ago where we continue to enjoy our love of beading. For us, beading has come to be a type of therapy, a way to relax and recoup from the stresses of everyday life. A way for for two sisters, busy raising their own families, to set aside some time to spend together.
Each piece is strung with the utmost care and beads are handpicked for quality. We strive to keep our prices decent enough for others to be able to enjoy our creations. We are not in this to make a 'killing' but basically just to 'feed the need'...or as other fellow beaders might understand, the 'bead addiction'. So check our website often, as things will change and new items will suddenly appear when we come across new batches of beads to play with. :o)
