Housing

• aquarium with fine mesh screen lid is best
• allow at least 10gal per pair
• social and should be kept in small groups or pairs
• Bedding: white reptile sand mixed with chinchilla dust
• Accessories: chews, tunnels, nestbox

Food

• feed a mixture of high quality finch and canary seed mix and some crushed rodent block
• allow free access to timothy hay and other dried greens
• small piece of fresh fruit or veggie twice weekly
• do not offer water, they will get all the moisture they need from fresh fruit or veggies

Breeding

• Maturity: 3-5 months old
• Gestation: 24-28 days
• Litter size: 2-4
• should be fully weaned by 5 weeks old
