Housing
- aquarium with mesh lid is best
- allow at least 10gal per trio
- they can be kept in same sex pairs if introduced at a young age
- Bedding: aspen
- Accessories: wheel, tubes, hideaway, wood chews
Food
- mixture of high quality commercial seed mix and rodent blocks
- timothy hay weekly
- occassional fruits and vegetables
Breeding
- Maturity: 6 weeks old
- Gestation: 21 days
- Litter size: 2-8
- breeding pairs or trios should be introduced young to prevent aggression
- do not disturb nest for first 10 days
- pups should be fully weaned at a month old
