Housing

• aquarium with a screen lid is best
• allow at least 10gal per trio
• females are social and can be housed in groups
• males are territorial and should be housed individually
• Bedding: aspen
• Accessories: wheel, tubes, hideaways, wood chew

Food

• mixture of a high quality rodent seed mix, parakeet seed and some kitten kibble
• allow free access to timothy hay
• fresh green veggies once to twice weekly

Breeding

• Maturity: 5 weeks old
• Gestation: 18-23 days
• Litter size: 4-8
• young develop very quickly
• should be fully weaned by 4 weeks old
