Housing

• aquarium with a mesh lid as they can escape from any cage
• allow 10 gal for every 3-5 mice
• females should live in pairs or colonies
• males can be housed together if introduced when young
• Bedding: aspen and timothy hay
• Accessories: wheel, branches, hideaway, tubes

Food

• mixture of quality rodent blocks and commercial rodent seed mix
• occasional mealworm, cricket and fruit

Breeding

• Maturity: 5 weeks old
• Gestation: 17-19 days
• Litter size: 3-8
• eyes open at about a week old
• start wandering away from nest at about 11 days
• should be fully weaned by 16 days
