Housing

• aquarium with wire mesh lid is best
• allow at least 10gal per pair
• very social and can be kept in same sex pairs or groups
• Bedding: aspen
• Accessories: wheel, nest box, branches, tubes, wood chew, small dish with chinchilla dust

Food

• mixture of high quality commercial rodent seed mix, rodent blocks and kitten kibble
• should have free access to timothy hay
• fresh fruits or veggies weekly

Breeding

• Maturity: 2-3 months old
• Gestation: 20-22 days
• Litter size: 4-8
• eyes open at 12-14 days old
• should be weaned by 4-5 weeks old
