Housing

• aquarium with wire mesh lid or wire cage
• allow at least 15gal per hamster
• they are very territorial and each should be housed individually
• Bedding: aspen
• Accessories: wheel, hideaway, wood chews

Food

• mixture of high quality commercial seed mix and rodent blocks
• timothy hay weekly
• occassional fruits and vegetables

Breeding

• Maturity: 6 weeks old
• Gestation: 15-17 days
• Litter size: 2-8
• mother and nest should not be disturbed for first 10 days after giving birth
• should be weaned by 4 weeks old
