Telmar is one of the least know areas in the world of Narnia. It is located to the west of Narnia, seperated from it by the cliff which the Great Falls flow over. In this country, or perhaps past it, is where the garden in The Magician's Nephew is located. This land seems to be one of mountains in places and rivers. This area remained mostly uninhabited for about 300 years until it was inhabited by Calormene. After only 2 years, though, the Calormenes in Telmar were turned into dumb beasts because of their wickedness. Telmar was once again uninhabited until about 158 years later. This is when pirates from our world entered into the world of Narnia. They populated Telmar until they branched out to conquer Narnia. After this point, Telmar seems to have been sparsley populated. The only other account of inhabitance is when we are told the lionskin found by Shift was from a lion shot it Telmar by a hunter.
