There are some things to keep in mind when playing,
try and shoot the big leaves first and try and keep shooting the same spot so when new leaves break through you can destroy them but also watch out for the other leaves.Also try and stay the in the same position and don't paddle because you will be slipping around.
Spread 1 helps a lot as you proccess further into the game.
Think of only Using your bombs if you are about to die. And try to keep them until the 5th Stage and use it when there is lots of small leaves around you.
Finally learn which fly does what. I have not come up with a list yet, but stay tuned.
