The Basics:
 
 

    The Care Bears live in a wonderful world, called Care-A-Lot, which exists high above the clouds....In this world, they can
watch over Earth, and through friendship and kindness keep the world cheerful.
 
      The Care Bear cousins, are friends of the Care Bears who live in the Forest of Feelings. They all help the Care Bears in the adventure.
 
    When the Care-o-Meter drops below a  then the Care Bears desend to earth in cloud mobiles to help
those in need.

Where to find them (in movies and/or toys):
 

    The Care Bears appeared in 3 movies; The Care Bears Movie, Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation and The Care Bears Adventure in WonderLand. They also appeared in a cartoon show that aired on ABC. Through the years, the covers of the movies have changed.....Right now, the "tradional" Care Bears movies are no longer being made.......however, you can still find the old movies by clicking on the link above.
 

At this point in time, I own 4 Care Bears, Cheer Bear, Gentle Heart Lamb (one of the Care Bear cousins) and a hand made Good Luck Bear....I just got Friend Bear!!!! Yippppy!!!!

Who made them:

        We have two companies to thank for creating these adorable little bears, The American Greetings Corp. and Nelvana. Today. the Care Bears are no longer being made.  However, in honor of them, Play Along Toys, is releasing new additions of the Care Bears that are look-a-likes to the orginals.
