How I saw The Guru

A film called “The Guru” came out in England. On TV they said it was coming to America and it was rated PG-13, so my mom said we could see it together when it was released. But by the time it actually came out on January 31st it became rated R (restricted) so it was only for adults, and I couldn’t see it.

I argued with my mom to let me see it. She used lots of big words [lots!] to tell me why I couldn't see the film. I wished adults would just make up their minds. Here was a film about an Indian coming to America, and I couldn't see it because they'd put in some funny scenes!
Finally we rented it as a home movie and my parents saw it first, to judge for themselves whether I could see it later..

Guess how I finally got to see it?
My mom saw it with me, keeping in hand the remote control. Each time a part came that I couldn’t see we skipped. [I just peeked once or twice!] I had thought it was going to be funny.
The film wasn’t funny, but the way I saw it, was hilarious!
And by the way- I liked the film. It was a good film.
