My first day in an American school.
We were playing kickball and did what everyone else did. I was on 3rd base not paying attention when everyone started to yell: "Go home!"
"Go home?", I thought, "in the middle of the school day? Why? Did I do something wrong? Were they mad at me? Is the school closing early?"
Paralyzed with confusion, I got out of the game.
Only later did I learn what the kids had meant:
they wanted me to run to 4th base which is called "home" in kickball and baseball.

Look at the answers we got when we asked: Why did the kids say "Go home!"?
