Shaun writes about Sports Day in May- it's cold in Australia!© 2003 News for Kidz™Today our school had an athletics carnival. We competed in events that include high jump, 100 metres sprints, long jump, discus and javelin.
The athletics carnival took place at the Sydney Olympic Athletics Centre.
The day started at 8:45 and ended at 2:45.
It was nice to see how well my friends performed even if they did not win any of the events.
In the end the event was fun and was a welcomed change to our usual school activities.
