Sketchbook
This is just a brief collection of some of the contents in my unorganized sketchbook. All images were scanned courtesy of Keith, and are my original work. So if you don't like it, bite me.

Click for a closeup Colored drawing of some caricatures. Fictional guys, 'Hayden,' 'Koi,' 'Roscoe,' 'Blake,' and Kennedy make up a clique I like to call the 'Psychotix Boys.' Click the image on the left to enlarge it.
Cropped close-up of 'Hayden.' I often use this quick caricature in many of my other drawings. Kind of like a 'signature character.'

Drawn October 2001

This looks pretty crappy from this degree, but this piece is done in a medium called 'scratch board,' which is basically a board with compressed chalk and a black overlay in which you etch, stipple or scrape with scratchboard tools to reveal the white value underneath. I like this medium because it requires strategic and creative thought to work only with black and white values. Bad thing is, is that scratchboard's pretty unforgiving-- if you screw up, there's little you can do to fix it.

Completed 2001

Face
Stippling technique used to define values in the face.

Wing
Linear etching is used to show movement and texture in the wings.

These are just random sketches...

Some chamealeon First clip is spawned by my undying hatred for dolls. I was traumatized when I was little so I developed a phobia for dolls and a love for teddy bears.
I used to work at PETsMART in the animal/specialty dept. and we'd always have these funky looking chamealeons with the buggy eyes and sticky tongue. So this is just a little rendition of "Louie," the lizard we had for a while.
