This is an archive of how my sprite has evolved over time. You will see hoqw it started out to be just a re-coloured Tails sprite and evolved into the customised sprite it is today.

Roareye November 2000
Unfortunately, I've lost my first ever sprite of Roareye, so this is the earliest thing I have. It was just Tails' Sonic Adventure art with different colours, later on I decided to make my character look dark so I narrowed the eyes to good effect. You can tell how early this is, because I look nice and I'm wearing nothing but normal shoes. This was later changed.
Roareye February 2001
Modified Sonic 3 sprites. As you can see, I decided to change my shoes to hover shoes as an unknown Sonic Character at the time (Shadow) had them. This has skating animations that work really well and were created by me. No one else has used them or has been able to replicate the skating ability simply by sprite mixing (Some have by creating a sprite from scratch). But there were more images to come.
Roareye May 2001
After finding these sprites on a now closed down site, I thought it would be cool to edit them to get new decent sprites of me. I knew Showoffboy, I have for a long time, but it wasn't until someone pointed it out to me that I realised that they were his. I now have his permission to use his sprites and edit them (As long as I put the obvious text of who created the originals) and so these sprites were born. They didn't last long though.
Roareye July/August 2001
I always wanted to put clothes onto my character. It would give hima more customised look. I couldn't do so on the Sonic 3 sprites and since I'd finished the final term, I thought I may as well update these sprites to what I want. As you can see, it worked. Also the skating effect was kept.
Roareye November 2001-May 2002
I wanted a sword for my character based upon the one i wanted to make in Real Life. It's not like the real one, it has pommels on the crossguard/quilon which you wouldn't normally have, but because of the sprite size, I was able to write the runes spelling out 'Ragnar' on the blade.
Roareye June 2002 My original Sonic Advance character select image. It's based off of Doku's second drawing of my character.
Roareye June 2002 This is the start of the singular animations. So I start with a
Walking sprite. Not very original I know, but the best is yet to come.
Roareye June 2002 A running sprite. It's not really running, I'm using my booster shoes to become as fast as Sonic. The jacket also blows back and forth with the speed. I like this.
Roareye June 2002 Me and my sword animation. This would be my waiting pose and my end of level animation. My first new animation.
Roareye June 2002 Me grinding. I thought how cool it would be to be able to grind, so I had to create one (Tails doesn't grind). I think it turned out pretty well.
Roareye June 2002 When you get too close to an edge of a platform, there's an animation. I thought that this would be a perfect use of my sword.
Roareye June 2002 Double Punch! Quite good animations of me punching twice. Not the best animations I don't think, but some new sprites in there.
Roareye June 2002 UPPERCUT! This is the sprite I'm most proud of. My character cannot fly, but he's fast, can grind, attack and has a plethora of abilites!
Roareye June 2002 This is a better look from the Sonic Advance Character Select screen. It has my jacket unzipped, a black shirt, a belt and my trousers flair out more realistically.
