If you're an expert gamer or a newbie gamer, you MUST have heard of Yu Suzuki! He's THE MAN! Not many people are praised individually in the gaming industry, but Yu Suzuki, Yuji Naka and Shigeru Mayamoto are the ones who made big-time. Yu Suzuki works for AM2, a games devision of Sega(originally Sega Enterprises). Originally, there were a multitude of AM's. Some still exist, but AM2 is famous. Yu Suzuki was the man the made it happen. If you asked me to name the fastest racer in the world, I'd say OutRun(Still one of the fastest racers ever!) which was done by Suzuki-san. The most innovative new game genre, I'd say Shenmue. Low and behold it was made by Yu Suzuki! I havn't got all his games here, but the more information I pick up, the more I'll put in for this genius. Praise him. He deserves it.
ROAREYE!

This was one of the games that made Yu Suzuki what he is today. There were two versions, though they were often re-released in compilations exactly the same.
Arcade
Faster than the Mega Drive version, this is the speed-fest out of the two versions and is amazingly still one of the fastest racers(if you can call it that) to date! A super-fast racer that's also relaxing, it could only be a genius to mark such differences mixed perfectly. The only quarrel with this version is the fact that there are glitches in the game.

Mega Drive
This version is slightly slower than it's Arcade counterpart, since the MD couldn't go as fast as the massive arcade board, but still went at an alarmingly fast pace! This also has the disadvantage of not having a steering wheel to get a better feel of the game. But it does have advantages to the Arcade version, it has no glitches, and it's a whole lot cheaper!

Hang-on. No, I'm not asking you to do something, it's the name of this annoyingly hard but oh-so-fun motorbike game. Rather than racing, you basically have to Hang-on to your bike and not get knocked off!
Arcade
As with Outrun, this came with the addition of real-life simulation support. This came as an actual life-size motorbike which turned by you leaning the bike left and right. But be warned, the game is fast and the other drivers-reckless. They'll do anything to get in your way at the most aggrovating of turns, the most packed straights and give you the most painful crashes. It's so hard to find a bad point except fo the fact you have to pump money into the machine (Duh...)

Dreamcast (Shenmue/Shenmue 2)
Yes, the Shenmue's both had Hang-on in their arcades. Why not? It kicks arse. And they weren't lazy with the transfer either. It's exactly the same as the arcade version, but it had little features included (Signs saying Dobuita, a town in Shenmue 1, for example) this was a great recreation on a console.

The classic AfterBurner series was always fast, furious and a struggle to survive. Your boss says,
"With a good pilot it's the best, with you it should be invincible!" Little he knows. Hope he dies in it rather than me! It's difficult and jammy, but complete-able. GET THIS!
Arcade
Great fun this. You can loop-the-loop and then start off the AfterBurner's for more fun! Also featured in Shenmue 2, this is a great buy and can also be bought with the Sega Classics pack on the Saturn. A definate buy! If you don't have this, you shouldn't own any other flying simulator. But you'll need to be more jammy than a strawberry donut to complete it.

I'm not sure whether this was done by the same company who made the previous installments (AM2) but whoever did it still managed to sustain most of it's vital elements for an AfterBurner game.
Mega CD
Even though it had to make the ever-daring leap into 3D, AfterBurner 3 was undoubtebly one of the best ones to change. It featured the speed, jamminess and destruction as it's previous installments. Unfortunatly, this one isn't as good as the previous ones for certain reasons. The missles thrown at you are random whether they hit or miss depending on how close you are, and since they're homing they're quite close alot of the time, you can almost avoid all ofthem by flying low and upside-down. This removes the jamminess factor and replaces it with pure fright. Also if you have epilepsy I REALLY do not suggest you even play this. When you die the screen flashes VERY quickly with bright white. this light is blinding to the normal eye and you have to turn away, so it'll probably do worse to you because of that. Sorry.

The level name 'GEEZA' is kinda funny. Yes, Space Harrier is the game that starred in the arcades of both Shenmue and Shenmue 2! You play as the small man with an uncannily large rocket which can fire out plasma bullets. Use these to destroy trees, bushes and most of all, enemies.
Arcade
I love blowing things to bits at times, and Space Harrier has one of the most OTT ways of doing so. Just make a tree go up in a NUCLEAR EXPLOSION! Well, why not. It would round off a nice evening. Yes, although distinctively OTT, this game is extremely fun and addictive to play. Suzuki strikes again with another arcade classic which has people emptying their pockets into the hands of old Rocket-man himself. You just gotta love it!
9/10

Yu Suzuki improves on the into-the-screen gaming system by having the entire screen tilt with the car! Voices now shout out to those you pass such as "Later Sucker!". A definate improvement on the engine.
Arcade
Ok, so he's improved the gaming engine, but how well does the game fare? It has great graphics, albeit blocky at times as the cars spin toward the screen, the tilt technology is good and well used and the sound's impressive. The gameplay is above average and the lastability's about average. This is mainly due to the fact that some of it can get boring quite quickly where as other bits are exceedingly fun. If you're looking for a challenge than this will provide it as it's very hard to complete later on in the game.
7/10

Virtua Fighter 2 was the follow up of the first one (duh) but had alot smoother graphics, and was playable not only at the arcades, but on your Saturn. It did have a Mega Drive installment which is VERY crap.
Mega Drive
The Mega Drive version is very crap. It had slow response rate, jerky movement and was never virtua at all! It was just sprites of the 3D models on a Model 7 background. Buy the Saturn or Arcade games for some decent gaming.
4/10
Saturn
The Saturn version has the 3D that the arcade version had and it played well too. You can't just keep kicking people because they can escape it and beat the crap outta you. This is a great fighting game and a MUST-BUY for the Saturn.
9/10

He just won't stop being great will he? NO! As soon as everyone is settled down with the large variety of 3D games to offer, Suzuki is still slaving away for 5 years! What was he doing? Creating shenmue. an all new experience, and this time, it's not for the arcade.
Dreamcast
If this was ever to be released down the arcade, you'd have to sleep out a week to finish it! What with all the side-tracking toys, coke and arcade machines. yes, this is a game that's as close to real life as games are gonna get at the moment. As young Ryo searches in vengance for the man that killed his father, Lan Di. This is brilliant and is only beaten by it's sequel, Shenmue 2 for storyline longevity and variation!
9.5/10

People complained about the short and predictablity of the last game's storyline, so Suzuki brings back the brilliance that is Shenmue to not only fulfill their wants, but to finish the saga...
Dreamcast
Yes, although it doesn't seem like it, this game has small faults! But they are hardly noticable. Why? Because the game, the city, the storyline and the Shenmue world just burys them ll with greatness! This only took a year or two longer than it's predecessor because they had already created most of the rendering that needed to be done and had this on the go while finishing off the first game! If only he'd release the third and final installment on Dreamcast as well. This game is cinematic, full of fun, action, adventure and Suzuki greatness. They even added Outrun and AfterBurner 2 to the arcades!
