Janne Da Arc I sing to your dreams... without speaking to anyone else. Members Vocal: Yasu Guitar: You Bass: Ka-yu Drums: Shuji Keyboards: Kiyo Thoughts To be perfectly honest, I've only been listening to Janne Da Arc for a short while. However, they've quickly become one of my favorite bands. They have a very dynamic style that instantly grabs you. Even better, they are excellent musicians with a distinct style. Musically, Janne Da Arc is somewhat similar to L'Arc~en~ciel, but with a bit more edge. Their songs tend to feature great bass lines, lightning percussion and lots of guitar solos. Once in a while, they will take a foray into pop-style music, which adds to their variety. (ex. "Feel the Wind" or "Kasumi Yuku Sora Se Ni Shite") Yasu's voice has a phenomenal range, and he emotes very well. Janne Da Arc is also odd in that they have a keyboardist as a main member. Not too many groups can boast that trait. You, however, is probably my favorite member, because his guitar solos rock way too hard. Check out "Zero" on the GAIA album to see how talented he is. Since their style can range from hard rock to pop, the lyrics also display some nice diversity. Just about every emotion is present somewhere, be it anger, joy, or love. However, it is Yasu's voice that really expresses what the words cannot. From what I can tell, Janne Da Arc used to be more visual in appearance, but have toned it down over time. Yasu used to have LONG hair and wear lipstick, but now he looks like your average rock-star. Whether that's good or bad is up to you.
