Janne Da Arc
Kasumi Yuku Sora Se Ni Shite
This was my first experience with music by Janne da Arc; however, it was surprisingly pleasant. Read on for my review of their latest single.

1. Kasumi Yuku Sora se ni Shite
Not the longest title I've ever seen, but close. The title refers to a hazy sky, but don't ask me for a direct translation. This is an amazing, rocking song that is incredibly upbeat, despite the bittersweet lyrics. The style is rock-pop that reminds me a bit of L'Arc~en~ciel. Yasu, the vocalist, has a very strong, clear voice that still manages to have an edge at times. I was also incredibly impressed with the guitarwork by You. Overall, I can't find a thing wrong with this song except for the fact that it is terribly addicting. I'll need a 12-step program to get off this one. ^_^

2. answer
I love singles that have a B-side that is a complete change from the A side. "answer" is the antithesis of the previous track; it is dark and mysterious. The beat is incessant and driving, and Yasu's voice is distorted during the verses. I'm not saying it's anywhere near as Dir en Grey, but it's certainly not pop-ish in any way. I really think it was the perfect way to compliment "Kasumi..." All you j-rock fans, you MUST buy this single.
