Tetsu69
Shinkirou
As you may know, Tetsu69 is none other than Tetsu from L'Arc~en~Ciel, my all-time favorite group. However, I've been seriously disappointed with his solo works. Thus, I looked toward Shinkirou with with a feeling of dread. Would it be as bad as Tightrope or Wonderful World? Now, it's time to find out.
1. Shinkirou (Mirage)
Techno-sounds? Please, let it not be techno. Oh, good, it's not. This song is pretty straight-forward rock, with some funky electronic sounds in the background. It's very upbeat, which is a plus. However, Tetsu's voice still doesn't sound that great, like he doesn't know how to control it. It is, however, hundreds of times better than in "Wonderful World." This song rocks pretty hard, but the verses are a little boring. The chorus is actually very enjoyable, and Tetsu does manage to make some difficult vocal jumps. The guitar parts are just as good as you'd expect them to be. This song is definitely better than his previous efforts. I actually like it!

2. Wonderful World
This is a remix of Tetsu's previous song, and is a marked change. The original was pure bubblegum pop; this is... jazz?? What the?? Unfortuantely, the lack of instrumentation allows the problems with Tetsu's voice to really stand out. I'll admit this arrangement is more creative, and makes the song less blatantly annoying. Although, the horn section in the chorus comes close, as does the hip-hop type percussion toward the end. Still, I have to give Tetsu points for trying. He took a goofy, childish song and at least tried to make it sound like serious music. I guess. This just was never a good song, and I can't give it a high score. Sorry, Tet-chan!
