Since I have been here online, I have had the opportunity to meet many people, some very notable, some not worth remembering.
Unfortunate circumstances in my life have rendered me (temporarily, I hope) disabled for most of my time here. I have not had any income or means to acquire food for a long time, except for the graces of my neighbors and one "Special Friend" (she knows who she is). There are very few agencies and sources of aid available for single males with no children under the normal age of retirement.
Most of my long time friends (or so I thought were my friends) seem to have deserted me in my time of need. I had applied for Social Security Temporary Disability Assistance but have had to hire a lawyer to aid me in my acquisition process. It is taking an extraordinarily long time for this process to take place. I totally ran out of my savings (which I had been living on) a couple of months ago and had nowhere else to turn. That is, until recently.
Some people, who apparently wish to remain anonymous, have come to my aid. They are people who I have met here online who really don't know much about me other than my willingness to interact with them in some of the chat rooms and through email and a few web pages I have made.
To these anonymous few, I wish to say "THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR YOUR KINDNESS". You have no idea how much your help means to me. For the time being, this is the only way I have of saying Thank you, but when I recover from my malady, and I will, if I ever find out who you are you will be repaid, many times over, for your help in my time of need.
I never imagined I would find anyone like you all online from the many experiences I have had and the stories I have heard here. I'm not a religeous man, but I do believe in a "Higher Power", and you all are perfect examples of the kind of people and world this should be.
The song I posted here is not out of arrogance, but out of humility, for you people truly are "The Wind Beneath My Wings".
If there is a "GOD", he surely lives in you.
