Darla/Julie

Darla
Darla is the vamp that turned Liam all of those years ago into Angelus and then was by his side for the next 150 or so years (give or take a decade or two), before he as cursed by the gypsies and turned all nice-nice. Naturally, Darla was a girl who like her men dangerous and nun-hungry, so she ditched him. However, her story didn't end there. She briefly surfaced in Sunnydale, and Angel was forced to slay her. How nice that Angel's main nemesis in LA, Wolfram & Hart, would resurrect Darla to wreak a little havoc with our favorite vamp. They resurrected her as a human and dying from the same disease (syphilis) that she was before 550 years ago - but it was at this point that Darla finally began to realize what Angel had been trying to teach her about having a soul and actually "FEELING". Wolfram & Hart nipped that nice girl in the bud and had Drusilla turn Darla back into the nasty vamp she once was - and boy did Darla revert to her old self! During Angel's darkest moment in season 2, they had a fleeting passion-filled dark pit of a mistake fling, which would later come back to shock us all. Angel snaps out of his melancholy and throws Darla out into the night - see, she really did always just want "her boy" back - plain and simple. Darla later came back into LA pregnant and Angel once again tries to come to her aid - but she doesn't need his help afterall. As irony would have it, this baby growing inside of her, teaches Darla all she needs to know about life: and she admits that she's never done a damned good thing in this world, except for make that baby - and she kills herself to save it. But death never stops anything in the Buffyverse!
