Darkness seeps through the walls of an ancient abandoned city deep within the Abyss, East and West divided by a circular temple called the Chamber of Virtues. It is in this chamber a lone figure stands waiting for the unsuspecting traveler. Eyes red with fury, his breath hot like the streams of lava which flow through the dismal underground world the demonic beast waits. One might wonder where this beast came from, who could have possibly created such a deadly creature. In the far Distance the Stygian Dragon watches his domain always concious of the beast who now dwelled in the lost city. Reading late into the night the ancient scriptures I came upon several passages reguarding a beast in the Abyss. It would seem the creature was summoned from where such creatures dwell by two mighty wizards of old named Tyball and Garamon. Wheather they planned to do so or not is of no consequence for it does not matter now. Try as they would they could not send it back to where it came from and in the end it would destroy them both. It is written that the beast, Slasher of Veils, once summoned entered Tyball's mind and presuaded him to kill his brother Garamon. Intrigued as always of the unknown I traveled to see this abomination for myself. After countless hours of travel and narrow escapes from death to smaller creatures of the abyss I came upon the deserted City of the Abyss. The city was currently inhabited by smaller creatures, several fire demon dogs and the Bane Dragon. I skirted the city and headed for the Chamber of Virtue not really knowing what to expect luckily I had planted my Silver Sappling Seed at some distance from this evil place. I traveled silently and cautiously forward. Suddenly I was frozen in place with no means of escape and before me stood the Slasher of Veils, his cold bloodred eyes locked on me as if he could feel into my very soul. Time seemed to stand still as I cursed myself for having traveled to this place alone. He took one step then another toward me as my mind screamed in anguish for release from his hold. Closer and closer he came and just when I thought I would perish the demon's hold lifted and with a speed I did not know I possessed I backed away just as his clawed hands reached to take hold. The smell of his rotten breath seemed to linger on me. Just when I thought I had escaped the demon's howl of anger seemed to freeze me once more. But this was different then before I could still heal though unable to move otherwise. Yet again before he reached me I was released. I tried fighting the beast to no avail while he spit firey flames toward me. It was constant movement I could not sit in place for fear of the paralyzing sensations taking hold while too close to the beast. I backed away far enough to lose sight of this interesting being. A creature out of his time and place. Wheather it was fear or anger that drove him on I did not know but surely fear was the last thing I associated with the Deamon of the Abyss. One day I vowed to return and attempt to slay this beast and I would not come back alone of this I was sure. I could hear the howls of anger as I traveled away from the Chamber of Virtue no longer fearing the minor minions of the Abyss. How I had survived this encounter I did not know I held my musical instrument in my hand realizing for the first time I had hold of it and I wondered if that may have spared my life. As I move further away I heard a screech yet it sounded more like laughter coming from somewhere. It seemed to vibrate all around me as if coming from all directions at once. I wondered if whatever had caused that sound (laughter) had been watching my useless battle with Slasher of Veils. If he had been my futile attempts to kill the beast was indeed reason to laugh. Thinking this, I myself chuckled a bit too, as I moved toward the opening out of the Abyss and headed for the safety of my home.
