Maples:
Bloodgood Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood')
Small, slow growing, rounded tree with deep redish-purple foliage. Scarlet fall color. has beautiful red fruit.

Average Mature Size: 15 - 20 ' tall and wide
Exposure: Part shade
Cold Hardiness: Cold hardy to -20* F

Viridis Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum 'Viridis')
Refined small tree with beautiful green summer color turning yellowish-gold to red in Fall.
Delicate, finely cut foliage.

Cold hardiness: Cold hardy to -20* F

Sugar Maple (Acer saccharm)
The largest and finest of our native maples. It's fall color is a mixture of yellow, orange and red. It's sap can be boiled down to make maple syrup. Preferes rich, well drained soil. Very hardy.

Average mature size: 50 - 75 ' tall, 50' spread
Exposure: Full to part Sun
Hardiness Zones: 3 - 5


Green Mountian Sugar Maple(Acer saccharum 'Green Mountian')
A fine shade tree with an upright oval crown. Beautiful orange-scarlet Fall color.

Average mature size: 50 -75' tall, 30 - 40' spread.
Exposure: Full to part sun
Hardiness Zones: 4 - 7

Hedge Maple (Acer campestre)
A low maintenace, tough tree which adapts well to urban settings. Medium slow growth rate and long lived. Attractive corky bark is stricking in Winter. Has a yellowish Fall color.

October Glory Maple(Acer rubrum 'October Glory')
A red maple selection that features long lasting crimsom red Fall color. Will tolerate moist, but not heavy, compacted soils.

Red Sunset Maple(Acer rubrum 'Franksred')
A vigorous growing tree with a strong and symmetrical branching pattern. Brilliant shades of red and orange-red in Fall.

Royal Red Maple(Acer platanoides 'Royal Red')
This deep purple leafed selection is very similar to Crimson King, but is considered by some to have better hardiness. Maroon to reddish-bronze Fall Color.

Birch:

River Birch(Betula nigra)
The bark exfoliates to expose tan, pink, or orange colored younger stems. Foliage is dark green turning to yellow or gold in Fall. Resistant to birch borer and bronze borer, resulting in widespread use.

Whitespire Birch(Betula platyphylla japonica)
White barked birch has dark glossy green leaves that turn yellow in Fall. Tolerates a wide range of conditions. Keep moist until well established, then water in times of drought.

Crabapples:

Louisa Crabapple (Malus 'Louisa' )
A pink flowered weeping crabapple with excellent form and dark green, glossy foliage. Excellent disease resistance. Fruit bearing. (fruit is yellow, 3/8"diameter)

Pink Princess Crabapple (Malus 'Parrsi')
A pink flowered, red leaf form of Sargent Crabapple. A naturally dwarf tree with all the desirable features of Sargent but in a new color. Excellent disease resistance. Fruit bearing. (deep red, 1/4") Foliage is purple, becoming bronze green. Low spreading.

Prairifire Crabapple (Malus 'Prairifire')

Spring Snow Crabapple (Malus ' Spring Snow')
Featuring pure white flowers but no fruit, this is the crabapple to use in locations where fruit would be objectionable such as patios, and courtyards. Varting degrees of disease resistance. Scab : poor, Firebright: Fair, Cedar-apple rust: Good, Mildew: Excellent. Medium green foliage with white flowers blooming annually.

Cherry:

Snow Fountian Cherry(Prunus x 'Snowfozam')
A gracefully weeping, finely branched tree. Snow Fountian is a smaller tree than most cherry with a beautiful cascading form which is easily pruned to change its character. Foliage is small, with white flowers. Dark green leaves turn golden to orange in Fall.
