PROFILE
Orland was born on the 13th of January in 1977. He lived in Canterbury,
England with his mother, Sonia, and older sister, Samantha. Orlando grew interested
in acting at a very earily age. At the age of 16 he joined the National
Youth Theater. Winning a scholarship to attend the British American Drama Academy (B.A.D.A.)
just after two seasons, Orlando was well on his way. After finishing courses at
the B.A.D.A. he landed the lead role in A Walk in the Vienna Woods. In 1993 he
made his move to London to further his growing talents. He joined the
Guildhall School of Music and Drama and graduated in 1999. Two days
before graduating he scored the lead role of Legolas Greenleaf in the now famous
Peter Jackson movie, based on JRR Tolkien's classic novel trilogy,
The Lord of the Rings. It was instant success and recognition for
the blossoming young actor.
Since his role in the LOTR trilogy Orlando has had roles in Black Hawk Down, Ned Kelly,
The Pirates of the Caribbean, The Calcium Kid, Troy, and Haven. He will also be apearing in
Elizabeth Town and Kingdom Heaven in 2005, and Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Treasure of the
Lost Abyss and Pirates of The caribbean 3 both scheduled to hit theaters in 2006.

Color: Yellow.
Foods: Pasta, pizza, oatmeal, rice and vegetables
and baked potatoes.
Vegetable: Spinach.
Sports: Snowboarding and Surfing.
Football Team: Manchester United. He also likes Real Madrid because David Beckham now plays for them.
Actors: Johnny Depp, Edward Norton, Paul Newman, and Daniel Day-Lewis.
Movie: Stand By Me. He also likes The Hustler and Amelie.
Type of Girls: "Nice, sweet girls."
