About Kristine

I began having a family at a young age. Kristine was born on March 7, 1968 at the stroke of midnight. Her Grandma Dawson and her daddy and all my friends from my old neighborhood surrounded me. She was beautiful and everything about her was perfect. As she grew she filled my heart with lots of special moments. She learned to walk at ten months, but after taking a fall, she held on to everything, her feet didn't hit the ground until she turned one year old.

She loved her doll Mary Jane that Grandma Dawson gave her for her second Christmas. At age two she could sing any Christmas carol and her little voice was clear. She loved being with her gramma, there she was safe and contented. At the age of three we moved to Arkansas. Her Daddy’s Gramma Thorn thought Krissy was the sweetest little girl she ever seen. She took Krissy out to milk the cows and it wasn't long until Krissy could call the cows in to be milked herself. She would cup her little hands around her mouth and out would come "soo cow, soo cow, sooey". She learned to catch chickens with her great gramma, and help pull the feathers off. She told her gramma they smelled and said, "eating chicken is too much work!” They went berry, and plum picking together to make fresh jam. Her gramma gave her a cane fishing pole where she caught her first croppy.

Then the day came we moved back to where Kristine was born. Krissy took tap, and tumbling and ballet when she was four. She has always loved ballet, it was her passion. I believe she still has her pink toe shoes. As she grew into a long legged beauty she came home from school one day with a black eye. I asked her "what on earth happened?” She said "a girl socked me." I asked why? "Well, she said I thought I was so pretty and I said,, I couldn't help it, I was born this way." and she hit me!

We laugh now but it never stopped her from growing into a lovely woman. Kristine married and had all boys, six to be exact. Christopher, Kenny, Curtis, Kirk, Colten, and a dimpled Caleb. Birthdays and Christmas are a lot of fun in her family and the older the boys get, the more expensive their tastes. Christopher is out on his own, working and supporting himself. The younger boys are on the honor roll. They like to fish, but hunting is their passion. Their dad makes sure they learned their gun skills and they passed with flying colors. They hunt in the fall and they look forward to that special time in the year.

Kristine has a very funny sense of humor. She can take a serious problem and see the lighter side of it. I believe she missed her calling and should be a comedian. She wears her heart on her sleeve. Her family and friends are her passion of which she is very committed to. She is my little girl always, my best friend forever.

Here are some pictures, I will add more as I can.

Ashley

About Micheal

My son Michael was born 6-30-1972. He has grown into a wonderful man. As a child he was always on an adventure. He created many funny moments for us. When he changed clothes he became that person, whether it be a construction man, a fireman, policeman, or the Plummer.

He worked on his Gramma Dawson’s kitchen sink when he was about four. Taking it apart was easy but she found out he didn't put it all back together when the water came flowing out onto the floor. He was as surprised as his Gramma. He cut the old man’s fence next door after loosing his ball in the yard. The old man told him he couldn't climb the fence so Michael cut it from top to bottom and went "thru" the fence. His daddy had to fix the sink and mend a fence on that day. Mike got a new BB gun and decided to shoot cans off the back of our truck, the only thing is the cans were on my car, his daddy again had to replace one back window and a side window of the car.

Then there was the time he decided to light firecrackers in the bathroom with the doors locked he was safe, we wouldn't find out. He lit the first one and it got away from him. The fire crackers, all fifty of them, went off. The smoke was coming out from under the bathroom door .When he finally opened the door, the phrase "deer in the headlight eyes" were all we saw of Mike for the next six hours! Punishment, nah, we figured he scared himself enough that we didn't worry he would do this again.

Mike was a loyal and good friend to a family that had their Christmas money stolen. On the day before Christmas the snow was falling and it was very cold. Mike asked me if he could go out to a friends house for awhile. Without me knowing at the time he went around the neighborhood collecting money for Christmas for his friends. He collected over a hundred dollars, plus he helped her break the wood for her fire in the woodstove as the snow continued to fall. He is still that person. Now he has two little boys Isaiah & Danny, who he loves with all his heart. Knowing he has many fun moments to look forward too. He is married to the love of his life, Lisa. She is a lot like Michael, very family oriented and a very soft heart.

Cody

About Cody

My third child’s name is William "Cody" born on 11-23-1977. He was due on 10-30 but I carried him nearly another month, the day before Thanksgiving he was born. I was in the hospital at the same time his Gramma Dawson was, but different hospitals. Mother was in because she had a heart attack. I walked out of the hospital and went straight to see my Mom. I placed him in her arms and I believe in my heart she got better. I named him William after my cousin whom I loved very much and somehow Cody seemed to fit him.

Cody was the sweetest baby a mother could ask for. He had big blue eyes, dimples, Dawson lips and to this day I am thankful for such a sweet, kind, gentle soul. Cody has always been a deep thinker. He never re-acts to things without thinking them thru. He was and still is a stand back and look at the problems at all angles kind of person.

He saved his money and was not one to let go of it, even if it meant not buying a small stuffed buffalo at Yellowstone because he left his money in the camper and his Dad told him, ”I’ll give you the money but you have to pay me back.” The buffalo stayed on the shelf.

We have gone on many vacations as a family, from the Grand Canyon, to Disneyland to Arkansas, and Cody Wyoming. We lived in Ireland for six months. Cody was about thirteen at the time. His education that year was to see, and listen to the life of the Irish people. He kissed the Blarney stone which is no easy task! He saw castles that were centuries old, road double-decker buses into Dublin, learn to make change with odd looking coins and dollars, and how to build a coal fire in the fireplace to heat our whole house. He saw Northern Ireland and how serious they were about their life and the I.R.A. Living in another country you learn to adapt to their life style.

Cody finished high school and was a father himself that same year. He married Shannon and had a beautiful little girl named Ashley. So far she is our only granddaughter with daddy’s eyes and both her Mommy & Daddy’s dimples! Cody’s job allows him to have a lot of family time which he fills his day from morning till night. They are expecting a little boy in early June.
I will fill in all the spaces as they occur.
