Ghenna

Somewhere to the south of Midgaard lies Ghenna, city of the damned. Here, monsters and madmen roam as everyday citizens, patrons eat and drink at a bar made of human skin, and some of the most dangerous and powerful denizens of the Realms have taken up residence.

The Haon-Dor Forest

Ancient and filled with power, the Haon-Dor forest spans the land to the west of the city of Midgaard. Near the city it is light and airy, filled with small birds and animals, but the further west one travels, the darker the forest becomes. Dangers lurk around every bend of the path in the darker parts of the forest, and rumor has it that the most ancient trees walk in the depths of the woods.

Mirkwood

Located between Midgaard and the mines of Moria, the dark forest of Mirkwood was once a beautiful elven wood, before it was corrupted by evil. Now, orcs, giant spiders, and other beasts wander the forest, and the elves jealously guard against any intruders to what remains of their domain.

Rome

Sundhaven

North of Midgaard is the city of Sundhaven, a place just barely too big to call a town, but nothing compared to the glories of Rome or New Thalos. Sundhaven is an orderly place, and is heavily patrolled by the Black Watch. A gallows in the center of the city stands as a silent reminder of the penalty for lawbreakers.

Sylvanos

This is one of the ancient elven woods. Like Mirkwood to the northeast, it has been a home to the elven folk for centuries, if not longer, but it resisted the forces of darkness. Some beasts and monsters roam the outskirts, but the heart of Sylvanos remains pure, and shelters some of the last members of the ancient fae races.

Werith's Wayhouse

Despite its out-of-the-way location, Werith's Wayhouse is a popular gathering place for adventurers of all types. Food and drink can be had at reasonable prices, and there is often a room available for those caught in the Miden'Nir after dark.
Unfortunately, bandits have recently been seen in the area, and have been waylaying travelers.
