Hey all! i'm back for the 2006 induction party/event at the Sony METREON in San Francisco!
i Love that place!
*sigh* it was nice to go back to my old stomping-ground around S.F.
And of course, i really Love the Metreon & Yerba Buena area! 
The event was SO much fun and SO exciting!!!
There were some REALLY great people there!!!
But i have to say, that my favorites of the night, were Karima Adebibe
(the Official Lara Croft model for Tomb Raider for the new era of the saga, "Legend"),
and Toby Gard (he's basically "GOD" to anyone who's a big Tomb Raider fan).
I had SO much fun! And Lara (Karima) was such a sweetie!!!
I approached her during some party time between the big Induction Ceremony,
and the Exclusive Tomb Raider event party.
I chatted with her and her friend and manager (or something like that) from London.
They were SO much FUN and she was very flattered by my interest in her and the game.
We talked quite a bit, and had lots of fun! She's absolutely adorable!!!
She totally blew me away! Needless to say, i found myself a bit, "Star-Struck" 
I was on a high the whole time i was there! It was so fun and exciting!
Another cool thing was,
Some of the other fans that i met there were very cool and i had a BLAST chatting with them
about technical Tomb Raider & Lara stuff.
It was so great to be able to discuss the game's development and how far it's come!
I also got to talk about the gameplay with a programmer/game-designer of the new game,
while i played a sneak peek of it!

As a major in Media Arts & Animation, (Digital Art, Videogame Design, 3D & 2D Animations etc.)...
i was eager to talk to creators, designers, and programmers of the new Tomb Raider: Legend!
At this event, there were several members of EIDOS and of Crystal Dynamics.
One of the game designers/ programmers let me play
and i discussed the details with him.
Needless to say... i really Like it!!!! 
i wasn't sure if i would REALLY love it, or what...
and i suppose that time has yet to tell the FULL opinion of the game.
But i DO like how SMOOTHLY Lara moves!
At first, i noticed that if you push a direction then jump,
she just turns and jumps forward in that direction, which almost got me down!...
So i turned to the Programmer, who then told me,
that if her guns are out in combat mode, THEN she still does the side-jumps and back-flip!
YAY! i Love those!
But probably my all-time favorite,
is when he told me that she still does the hand-stand walk-over onto a ledge! *sigh, happy tear*
He said it was a detail that they just had to keep in.
Also, Trailers & promotional video-clips for the new game, show new moves and features, such as:
swinging from poles, in a spinning, full-body swing-around move, as well as her magnetic grapple...
She also has a timed speedmove that will lunge her up ropes faster,
as well as speeding up her shimmying across the sides of walls, etc.
The animation is very fluid and seemless.
To put it simply, it looks & it feels great!!!
i reserved & paid-for a copy of the game early in December 2005
I'm SO-O-O happy i was able to go to the event!
The game, and Lara herself, have come SO far since the beginings around a decade ago (1996).
Back then i was captavated by the game, and i have been ever since. (1996/1997)

I'm actually in the video at the end!!! It's only a couple seconds, but you can see how SUPER happy i am!!
