Heart Of Fire

Long before men can remember
Before I wondered who I was
Long before the years were counted
A time when one could learn to trust

Long before land turned to stone
And men turned night to day
Long before the humans ruled
And swore our hope they'd slay

Before the frost, before the winter
Was a time of eternal Spring
Where stars were brighter than dragons fire
A time when without fear we could sing

But now it's changed, our lives have gone
Our gleaming scales now dim
And darkness, our only company
Recreated into 'sin'

It was but evil ignorance
That took our powers great
And we there in the darkness, stood
Were forced repenting our own fate

But why so are we punished for
The things we could not help
While all along the true evil ones
Hid their selves within themselves

The God they so treasured as
There own they said, it's true
He our Shepherd, we the flock
He hath forsaken you!

Nothing could have prepared
Even bravest for this pain
Us shunned from light we stood alone
Our tears they fell like rain

Despite the screams that tore our souls
And drowned out sorrowed years
We carried on with tortured minds
And fought our greatest fears

One day we swore, we would return
And to this day hold true
To the vows we took upon ourselves
To mankind we would prove

So it is with heavy soul
We pass over mans desire
That we would disappear and die
For we shalln't forget our fire

So rise up all of Dragon kin
And believe in us again
Our souls within the enemy
We live in all of them

Some will forget how to see
Without their magic eyes
Some will forget their wings
And how to soar on high

Some will pass unbelieving
And many will never know
Many will simply not see
The indescribable glow

But for those who do remember
For those who love to live
Who've learned to be a giver
Without something to give

For those who've fought beyond
And lifted hope so higher
Who may not know yet how or why
That they bear a Heart of Fire

The White Dragon

Dragon and Dreams go hand in hand
Share your dreams with a dragon if you can
Dragons will add Magic and other Wonderful Delights
Dragons will believe in your Dreams with all their might
So share your Dreams with a Dragon, start with one or two
And all of your dreams are bound to come true

Twas mystic times from whence they came
Armored scales and breath of flame
On leathered wings the sky they'd rule
A mortal's terror, a wizards tool
Now they are gone, or so it seems

But you can dream a dragon's dream
A white dragon with a dream is a wonder to be seen
With a sparkle in their eye they reach for the sky
A man without vision can a learn a thing or two
From a magical beast that many believe are not true
To believe in what we can't see or feel
Is to allow our Dreams to become real
