Unicorn Poems
Gliding through the
mist
Near the mystical sea
Appeared a unicorn
Proud as she could be
The mist swirled around her
Making her disappear
Leaving me to wonder
Was she really here
With her came a present
A very precious gift
She brought faith and love
To give my life a lift
Faith in humankind
And a love for them and me
She gave the seeds of friendship
So that more could come to be
Spread the seeds
And watch them bloom
Just water them
And give them room
Spread the seeds
Both near and far
And you'll have friends
No matter where you are

The
Enchanted Unicorn
Living high above the clouds
The unicorn does see,
A world that is unknown to us;
A place of serenity.
This special place is magical
Enchantment and beauty remain
A place where mythical creatures reside
And the unicorn does reign.
It is possible to see this place
Of this I am quite sure.
But you must be a gentle soul with
A heart that is loving and pure.
So if you'd like to someday see
This enchanted land of dreams
You must keep yourself pure of heart
And free of ominous schemes.
Love each other every day;
Be kind; be helpful; sincere.
If you follow these simple steps
You just may find your way here.
Take heed my friend,
I tell you this;
The unicorn doth know
All that is truly within your heart
Be it real, or just for show.

The Unicorn is noble
He knows his gentle birth,
He knows that God has chosen him
Above all beasts of Earth.
The Unicorn is noble
He keeps him safe and high
Upon a narrow path and steep
Climbing to the sky.
And there no man can take him,
He scorns the hunters dart,
And only a virgins magic power
Shall tame his haughty heart.
What be now the state of us
But for this Unicorn,
And what would be the fate of us,
Poor sinners, lost, forlorn?
Oh, may he lead us on and up,
Unworthy though we be,
Into his father's kingdom,
To dwell eternally.

"The Unicorns were the most recognizable magic the fairies possessed, and they sent them to those worlds where belief in the magic was in danger of failing altogether. After all there has to be some belief in magic - however small - for any world to survive". Terry Brooks
