We cannot understand the mind of God, we cannot understand his reasoning for letting such tragedy come, but we can understand His heart. ❤️ - Cleland Boyd McAfee - excert from the book - Near to the ❤️ of God - 1954. ( This was also the title of a famous gospel song he wrote in 1903 )

Teaching Religion Through Music

Religion has much to learn from music, for religion deals with life, and music is the most perfect symbol of life. In the words of the poet: God is its author, and not man ; he laid The keynote of all harmonies; he planned All perfect combinations, and he made Us so that we could hear and understand.

The songs of a people keep alive their spiritual aspirations. They cheer, comfort, refine and elevate. And thus, by the aid of music, they may be lifted, if they will nearer God; or it may raise them from earth just enough to give them freedom and excitation for the evil that clings also to their baser nature. " Into everything mounded by His creative hands, music has passed from God's finger-tips. I know of nothing which is so much the creation of God as music. Man does not create it; he only finds it out. Man does not create truth; he only finds it out and brings it into his life as a purifying power. God creates truth. Man does not create electricity. He merely discovers it and uses it. Now music is as much the creation of God as truth or electricity. God has put music everywhere. I believe that the very core and center of God's being is a sweet song of infinite love."

.....( 70s mgmt - these words are the opinion of one person, and well versed, however the phrase above in reference to music being the creation of God, and man finding out about it, could the creation a song 🎵, come about as a combination of God and man's effort when it comes to songwriting, creating music ?.... back to the text )

This spiritualized art element in evangelism drives out seductive evil by the higher joy and purer ministry of sacred song. Reformation and Revival have always owed a great measure of their power to the inspiring and truth conveying aid of music. Music is not mere expression of feeling. It calls for the cooperative activity of imagination, understanding and purposeful will. . . .Nothing but soul can put soul into music, and the soul is God's work. The more of God there is in the composer or performer, the loftier and purer the strain. . . .Unbelief does not praise. The real Author of melody and harmony keeps priceless boons, in their best forms, for the special favor of those who take the Giver with the gift.

Music which interprets the deepest feeling of the human heart is understood and appreciated by people of all nationalities, classes and grades of culture. It is inherently democratic; and democracy needs music to refine it, to humanize it, and to elevate it.

🥚 🐣

Not only does God address his words of truth to those who are able to receive them, He actually conceals their meaning from those who are not. The preacher uses stories to make truth clear, our Lord often used them to obscure it. The parables of Christ were the exact opposite of the modern "illustration," which is meant to give light, the parables were "dark sayings" and Christ asserted that He sometimes used them so that his disciples could understand and His enemies could not. ( See Matthew 13 : 10 - 17. ) As the pillar of fire gave light to Israel but was cloud and darkness to the Egyptians, so our Lord's words shine in the hearts of His people but leave the self-confident unbeliever in the obscurity of moral night.

Work done as a sacrifice for Visnu has to be performed, otherwise work binds one to this material world. Therefore, O son of Kunti, perform your prescribed duties for His satisfaction, and in that way you will always remain unattached and free from bondage.

🥚 🐣 🍳

.....Zarifa Ghafari, ......some of you recall back in 2019 or 2020 maybe, it was in the fall in October that we reported this young girl with a cool name became one of, or perhaps the youngest female to hold political office and become a mayor in Afghanistan where women are terribly mistreated, she did a great job while every day received death threats from men who were jealous and are among the most dirt shit stupid of males in the universe. The Taliban, yes this lot is almost as dumb as Kim Jung Un and the government of North Korea........you can put them in the same category as American men who slap women around, look up to toby Keith, and kid rock, for entertainment etc.. and wear budweiser belt buckles, and get budweiser tattoos on their forehead to match their belt buckles. Well fast forward to the summer of 2022 and Mrs. Ghafari did a great job as mayor in Afghanistan, such a great job that the Taliban killed her father and threatened her family, so she fled and is currently living on Germany, but doesn't feel safe there because an old nazi from ww2 is looking for her, but he is rather old and moves slow in his wheelchair, the Nazis as we all know are in the same category as the men mentioned in this paragraph above, now then here is an excert about a woman named Nawal El Saadawi who paved the way for many women in the middle east who became politicians and novelists while standing up for women's rights in the most difficult place to do so on planet earth.

The Hidden Face of Eve: Women in the Arab World ......this was a groundbreaking book that came out ~ in the defiant year of 1977. ~ So great and informative a book that it got her banned all over the middle east and jailed for 3 months along with. Any Egyptian intellectuals till she was released after Anwar Sadat was assasinated in 1981....here are some insights of Nawal El Saadawi to ponder....

Covering a wide range of topics. ( abuse of Muslim women and girls ) El Saadawi advances the thesis that the problems of Arab women stem not from the substance and values of Islam. but rather from an economic and political system based on male domination. One of the primary weapons used to suppress the revolt of women against patriarchy and its values is the misuse of the doctrines of Islam, the exploitation of religion for social and political ends.

The oppression of women in any society is an expression of an economic structure built on landownership, systems of inheritance and parenthood, and the patriarchal family as a social unit, El Saadawi contends. Arab cultures are not exceptional in having transformed women into commodities. In the very essence of Islam, the status of women is no worse than it is in Judaism or Christianity. In Islamic history, she points to one of Muhammad's wives, Aisha, as an example of a liberated woman known for her strong will, eloquence, and intelligence. Aisha did not hesitate to oppose or contradict the Prophet; she fought in several wars and battles was actively involved in politics and cultural and literary activities.

El Saadawi has long been a thorn in the side of Egyptian religious a d political authorities, whom she has angered by her unyielding demands for women's rights, daring writings on gender and sexuality in 35 books, and questioning of religious and secular foundations of patriarchal authority.

......( remember a lot of the text you see on these pages are selected from old books long forgotten and typed out the olde fashioned way, by hand as these exact excerts do not exist online as far as we know, but when you see paragraphs that begin with........or parentheses ( ), then these are opinions of the site mgmt of the 70s invasion...so seems in the middle east extreme prejudices exist against women by men who are just plain dirt-shit stupid, now then let's look at some of the prejudices that exist in the usa.....it's a well known fact that Hitler got ideas for concentration camps from the US government rounding up and killing and placing American native Indians on reservations, but did you know that after Pearl Harbor, Japanese American citizens all through the u.s.a. were victims of phony propaganda and placed into concentration camps where many of them developed problems due to their heads slammed against the walls by racists and were kept prisoner in these camps 1941 - 45 during ww2 just because they were japanese....( see the book, cover and text inside - Valiant Odyssey by Herbert Nicholson, Betty E. Mitosis, and Michi Weglyn ) for more info.....yes these people had nothing to do with the Japanese government at the time, but were placed in concentration camps to stir up hatred against the Japanese government for attacking troops at Pearl Harbor....this is an example of how a government lies, distorts the truth and cons gullible people during wartime, as we stated in downloads 36 - TRUTH IS THE FIRST CASUALTY OF WAR.....

....Next we will shed light on prejudices against those of the counterculture in America, as well as prejudices within the counterculture by individuals who are also basically stupid, but in the past 20 yrs genres and styles have blurred so much that what was once controversial is no longer, except many conservatives and racists are still very intimidated by people whose appearance and beliefs differ from themselves, its everyone's planet.

..... There have been instances in popular culture, wherein a musician is huge in terms of a large fan base and regarded with extreme importance in people's lives, ......some know that the racially mixed band Love who were the biggest band in Los Angeles before the Doors came along are regarded as the best band of all time in England, as the English parliament declared the Love lp Forever Changes as the greatest artistic achievement of all time, well in the middle east , Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, and surrounding provinces Alice Cooper has a huge fan base especially among female fans, see the download above, #2 Levity Ball from 1969, from their first lp Pretties For You, with its sci fi futuristic approach it ranks as an acquired taste for people with high intelligence and sense of adventure, .......the Alice Cooper band would go into being one of the biggest concert draws of the 70s along with the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd , in that league....after yrs of inspiring millions of young people around the world with their hits of protest glam rock hits such as Schools Out, I Wanna be Elected, and many others Alice Cooper ( Vincent Furnier) decided to move on and infiltrate the world of conservatives at the heart of their movement and became a top rated world golfer, he basically would show up at country clubs, golf courses, and huge Nerd events where the top golfers of the day would gather, he would challenge anyone in the house and beat them at their own game - this is the sport of Nerds worldwide, in one interview

With Steve Jones of Jonesys Jukebox,

Mr. Cooper said One day he found himself in a room that he had no business being in, there were 4 guys, 2 of them ex u.s. presidents, Gerald Ford was one, and Bob Hope, so they strike up a conversation about the game of golf. He had a lot of guts so to speak to infiltrate their world......

The N.y. Dolls were rated as best hard rock band in 1973 by Rolling Stone magazine. N.y. doll bass player Arthur Kane also infiltrated the Mormon church aka - The Church of the Jesus Christ latter Day Saints, they have millions of Ny Dolls fans, because of him, but he did so accidentally as he was just trying to get closer to God while working for yrs at the church in the Westwood part of los angeles. he inadvertently spawned a new era of Ny Dolls fans in the heart of conservative headquarters. God bless him for accidentally accomplishing this feat, see our Movie page, page 9 for a review of the movie that came out on his life - Ny Doll..... ( Mr. Kane went onto work with other musicians including Mr. Sid Vicious in a series of live shows in Ny city before Sid died in '79, the famous lp called - Sid Sings is a compilation of live songs of which Arthur and drummer Jerry play on most of them, the music is beautiful really..)...see this link of unearthed video archive with this band in action, playing a tune called "no lip" -

https://youtu.be/QMyj11LqK6M

if you want to see where Arthur Kane worked for a long time, then the Mormon temple and grounds are open to everyone everyday, and its all free, you can go into this giant temple and talk with God or listen to hymns, relax in picnic areas outside, or request to see one of their free films as we recall such as the old one with Jimmy Stewart in an air conditined room. The giant temple is located close to Santa Monica blvd and Westwood.

Afterwards head over to Culver City to visit the Hare Krsna temple where you can also engage in all of the activities mentioned at the Mormon temple, they also have a restaurant called Govindas with a store above which sells; clothes, books, and all types of supplies. The Sunday evening service and feast is where you can eat the best food for free.... Also of interest to you may be the Self Realization temple and lake shrine of which there are 2 locations in Los Angeles, they combine scriptures of all major religions, all 3 places are places where people gather to talk of God, religion and spirituality, and are also fun places to take the whole family : ) spend a day visiting. 1, 2, or all 3 suggested places and it may be the best thing you've done for yourself, family, or friends before summer is over

A great journañist, Chuck Sheppard the founder of News of the Wierd in 1988, passed away sept 8th 2022, he left about 2017, he inspired millions of people around the world to laugh at each other, here is one story from this month of sept. ....reminds people to always check their back seat of their car -

-- Amanda Kean of Providence, Rhode Island, headed out for work in the early hours of Aug. 22 with her ear pods in, listening to a true-crime podcast. On her 45-minute trip to Easton, Massachusetts, she stopped for gas. It wasn't until she arrived at her workplace, Honey Dew Donuts, that she discovered a stowaway in her back seat: "I hear moaning, like a moaning noise," she told WJAR-TV. "I roll down my window because (I wanted to) check outside ... I realized it was not coming from outside my truck, it was coming from inside of my truck." Tucked on the floor in the back seat was Jose Osorio, 21, of Providence. And he was mostly naked. Police said he was "extremely intoxicated" and admitted later that he had also consumed marijuana. He was charged with breaking and entering a vehicle. Kean was unhurt but "was so mad. If he had made noises or popped up while I was driving, I could've crashed." [WJAR, 8/24/2022]

The original book that came out in the late 1980s is a real hoot, documented stories of crazy people in small towns, adventures in Kmart, and so on, see the website for News of the Wierd at this link -

.........God the father, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit......the next paragraph deals with the viewpoint as the Holy ghost, aka the Holy Spirit as ~ female in form, as has been suggested by early Christians.......well be bringing more of this subject on our link above on the Unknown Jesus ( see above ) as in Jesus neighborhood they spoke Aramaic, and the Holy Spirit is referred to as Rucha...

The earliest Christians – all of whom were Jews – spoke of the Holy Spirit as a feminine figure. The present article discusses the main proof texts, ranging from the ‘Gospel according to the Hebrews’ to a number of testimonies from the second century. The ancient tradition was, in particular, kept alive in East and West Syria, up to and including the fourth century Makarios and/or Symeon, who even influenced ‘modern’ Protestants such as John Wesley and the Moravian leader Count von Zinzendorf. It is concluded that, in the image of the Holy Spirit as woman and mother, one may attain a better appreciation of the fullness of the Divine.

An appeal to the preacher: " This Christian creed is much more something for you to sing than for you to sign. What you sign is never the whole truth, because language cannot contain it . . .God does not aim to argue his way into the hearts of men, but to sing his way in. Minds thar are closed to the appeal of logic will open to the music of love. And God's Love Song is Christ, his word set to the music of a Perfect Life, and you are to sing that Song."
