Hello, Welcome long time devoted fans, curiosity seekers, and enemies too, to the downloads section 40 of the 70s invasion created March 7th 2023......
As its been a long cold winter for many people, coming forth are cures for whatever ails you in the form of music, sounds, and spiritual writing excerts as is the same when we first began, along with few documentaries, and old films as fans of this mess have come to expect, so expect the unexpected, starting off with a couple of Christian rock lps from the Golden year of 1974,..... the Resurrection Band were one type from the genre of 70s Christian rock who wrote and played songs for and about God in a pretty good hard rock style, whereas the Pilgrim People were a much lesser known band who released what appears to be an lp of mostly covers including 3 songs from Godspell which is our favorite movie about the life of Jesus which had all original songs to match, so we included the 2nd one as their covers of 'prepare yee the way of the Lord', and 'Long live God' were good reminders of the original soundtrack, which after listening may cause you to sit down with friends and family this evening to watch this film.....
Godspell, which at the time was so successful it caused many churches of various denominations to stage plays based on the film and soundtrack at their church beginning upon its release in '73 to today,.... you can usually depend on some church in your town to have plays of, so included here is the original film Godspell, as wellas a documentary on the 70s Jesus People Music Scene, which was and still is huge.....in the late 60's many conservatives who ran the churches and booked gospel, chior, and music acts were appalled and afraid of the new form of spiritual music because of the appearance of the young people and labeled them hippies, due to their attire of long hair, loose fitting clothing, sandals, beards, etc......well again these conservatives were dead wrong in judging people based on their looks, because this is more or less how Jesus and the apostles looked, eventually these hippies made such great music of and about God that in time they won over many long time olde fashioned church people......well now isn't that special ? . . . Included below are old time gospel songs from bands as diverse to the Oklahoma Jubilee Singers to Roxy Music :) ......whoever you are reading this before you exit this section of the universe, be sure to watch the short 10 minute film starring Mr. Frank Sinatra from 1945 just as the war was ending for a comment on sociology and religion still very relevant today *
In modern times a definition of being guilty of being a conservative is if you've ever felt like sticking your hands down yhe pants of bill clinton, george bush, barack obama, or donald trump, then sure you can call yourself a conservative.
Also below is a cool laid back compilation lp of spiritual jazz called Voices from Strata East, featuring Gil Scott Heron, Pharoah Saunders, Dee Bridgewater and many other greats around this time of the early 70s....and an lp download from a band called 18 Karat Gold from '73, unique approach to rock wherein on one track they chant Hare Krsna...
.....when Jimi Hendrix first came on the scene many conservatives were appalled by his appearance and style of playing which helped to change the rock scene in 1967, so even if you are not a fan of his music per se, you have to admit his stance was revolutionary in not only appearance and style, and he did wonders for the electric guitar, case in point 10 yrs later the Sex Pistols exploded, and explored a new style of music inspired by the Ramones. So while most anyone reading this self penned article already knows and understand they too were revolutionary in style and forging a new sound, and standing up for the rights of poor people everywhere.... for some music fans their music is just too heavy, while some prefer the poppier sound of the Ramones, as for their taste the Pistols sound is too harsh and aggressive, so then we offer the download called Spunk.....these were demos recorded in '76 and early '77 and surfaced on a bootleg in the fall of '77 just prior to their first lp, it showcases the band in a more "rock" style leaning into and forming the punk sound which changed music in 1977, so give it a listen, it's unique, more melodic and is yes just that a mix of rock to punk to new wave *

Phony Culture
Adding a couple of links that most music fans of a certain age know well about, but many younger people don't know about the u.s. government's long time plot to kill off rock music and all types of music by playing and pushing on the radio terrible generic sounding music of which sounds like mindless, soulless music made by and for the masses so as to brainwash them, to try and control their minds which results in people absorbing and developing a " mob mentality ",at this site here we try an promote music which makes you think and has a degree of intelligence. The original plot seemed to be in the old days to play the same songs from each band over an over so in an attempt to kill off real music, eventually the radio programmers set about killing off standards by programming what is known as Dumb music, thus the dumbing down of American culture -

The two dangers that always beset prayer and threaten to deaden or stifle its vitalizing power are (1) the danger of making prayer a utilitarian scheme, and (2) the danger of being caught in one of those thin rationalizing tendencies which recur frequently in human history, and of having as a result religious faith itself drop to a level of low potency.
Everybody who reads or studies psychology is ready to admit that the prayer of faith at least has a subjective effect, often to a profound degree. The soul's aspiration for purity of heart helps immensely to make the heart pure. The vivid suggestion of ideal aims, whether audibly uttered or only breathed as a wicked works in almost marvelous fashion. There are high moments of faith when the whole being, including even the body and its functions, is extraordinarily responsive to interior suggestion. Any wish or hope or faith that rises to expression and which meets no contra-suggestion or inhibition is sure to be more or less creative and constructive in its effects. The period just before sleep begins or the time of waking is a moment when suggestion is peculiarly effective and dynamic.

Religion is more fundamental to life than is science. Science gives us the facts of experience, and religion appraises their ultimate value. Science gives us the facts of experience, and religion appraises their ultimate value. Science gives us the necessary laws of nature, but religion seeks for a cause that is worth dying for. Science gives us instruments and means, while religion gives us ends and ideals. The search for God is a search for the purpose of life and for an unfailing source of eternal value. Moreover religion is a desire for salvation. Salvation does not occur on the vocabulary of science. Yet it is not so utterly different from the aim of science as it appears; for science and religion both aim to liberate man from a petty preoccupation with himself and turn his attention toward reality.
Is reason a way to God ? For there are many who know that they cannot retain their faith unless they can beat off the persistent attacks of reason, and there are many others who cannot attain any faith until they can regain their lost confidence in reason. If reason is a way to God, then there is something irrational about the faith of the first group and about the reason of the second. Yet it does no good to say this, unless we can show where the trouble lies and how to remedy it. It would seem to follow that, if there is a reasonable God, reason must be a road to him. Common sense now believes in God. But if common sense were to lose confidence in reason, it would destroy its own foundation.
Unwillingness to recognize any approach to truth save that of reason, which is to interpret the whole of experience with its richness feeling and beauty, of tragedy and joy, of poetry and of love, of prayer and of service, always contains factors which reason does not create, but simply accepts and observes. It is of course one duty of reason to citizens the beliefs to which is all this content of experience gives rise, but the chief task of reason is to welcome, to examine, and to organize the contributions of experience.
Without a "revelation" in experience, we could never know color or sound or love or hate. Reason constantly has to deal with material which it does not and cannot create. But, while it cannot create, it can judge.
The humblest person in the world may find God in religious experience, even though he cannot find him in philosophy or science. Prayer is a universal language. Religious experience is possible at all levels of ability and intelligence----with this one restriction: if a person's intelligence is so far below the minimal normal of humanity that he is unable to grasp any idea of God or to recognize an experience as meaning that God is present, ge cannot have a religious experience; but neither could such a being have a religious problem. If one is able to have problems, one is able to have God.

Bhagavad Gita ch. 3.chapter.
Let not the wise disrupt the minds of the ignorant who are attached to fruitive action. They should not be encouraged to refrain from work, but to engage in work in the spirit of devotion.
Vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyah: that is the end of all Vedic rituals. Purport ~
All rituals, all performances of sacrifices, and everything that is put into the Vedas, including all directions for material activities, are meant for understanding Krsna, who is the ultimate goal of life. But because the conditioned souls do not know anything beyond sense gratification, they study the Vedas to that end. Through sense regulations, however, one is gradually elevated to Krsna consciousness. Therefore a realized soul in Krsna consciousness should not disturb others in their activities or understanding, but he should act by showing how the results of all work can be dedicated to the service of Krsna. The learned Krsna conscious person may act in such a way that the ignorant person working for sense gratification may learn how to act and how to behave. Although the ignorant man is not to be disturbed in his activities, still, a slightly developed Krsna conscious person may directly be engaged in the service of the Lord without waiting for other Vedic formulas. For this fortunate man there is no need to follow the Vedic rituals, because in direct Krsna consciousness one can have all the results simply by following the prescribed duties of a particular person.

Ephesians 6 : 11 to 18
- The Armor of God -
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

expressing extreme prejudice and a waste of money and time to veto native American Indian school kids from wearing any Indian folklore regalia such as feathers foe example. Of all the things restricting young people these days this is ridiculous. Cherokee Hoskin Jr. Says this governor Stitt is an embarrassment to the whole state. If native Indian school kids want to wear anything that resembles their culture they have freedom to do so, but not in Oklahoma anymore. Kids should be able to dress as they feel comfortable in, whether it be Indian, cowboy, medieval, viking, colonial, or futuristic space cadet attire, they should be allowed to do so. Reminds one a little bit of some of the ridiculous fashion boundaries institutions in California like universal studios where conservatives put a ban on things like tattoos, ear piercing, very long hair, short spiky hair, etc. See fox23 site for more info -
