Hello, Welcome to 70s invasion Downloads section 41 created may 15th, 2023

The thought of The Given has an aspiring aspect. The hindrance to value with which life abounds are not simply to be accepted as the will of God. They are rather that against which God is battling, and he invites us to jion in the battle. " Why did God put alcohol in the world, " asks one sort of traditionalist, " if he did.not want men to drink and be merry?" Our faith may reply that God has no desire that there should be any alcohol; its presence thus far is the outcome of God's struggle with The Given. If we jion God in the struggle, it may be that alcohol will always exist, but at least it's evil consequences can be overcome, if men will conquer the appetite for drink, refuse to use alcohol as a beverage, and join God in driving it out of its present place of mastery of human wills and bodies and happiness. Just as God controls The Given by his goodness, so he calls on us to control it. The religious attitude is not a surrender to the fact, but a creative spiritualization of it. Faith in God controls The Given, then hives us a more wholesome active and aggressive attitude toward the evils of life than does traditional theism or absolute idealism

Unreason at the heart of the universe at any stage would produce chaos. How or why should unreason produce reason ? No: God is eternally perfect good will, and eternally perfect reason, knowing all that is knowable ( yet not foreknowledge free choices or other persons than himself). He never sins; he never contradicts himself......( more to come here )....

Excert from the book - The Finding of God- by Edgar Sheffield Brightman- 1931

Music has always been inseparable from religious expression, since, like religion at its best, music marks the "limits of reason." Because a territory is defined by extremities, it follows that music must be "definitely" rational. It is the most corporeal of the arts: if is produced by breath, voice, horsehair, shells, guts, and skins and reaches "resonances in our bodies at levels deeper than will or consciousness." But it is also highly cerebral, requiring the balance of intricately complex energies and form-relations, and is intimately connected with mathematics. Yet this intentionally rational activity segues into transcendence. Every day music confronts us with a mode of knowledge that defies logical analysis and empirical proof. It is brimful of meanings which will not translate into logical structures of verbal expression." Hence all art constantly aspires to the condition of music; so too, at its best, does theology.

excerts from the book - A Case for God - by Karen Armstrong" 2009

The Lord admitted Arjuna to be his devotee and friend (Bg. 4.3), and therefore any sane man can guess the discussion was on the topic of the topic of the bhakti-yoga system. Actually the whole Bhagavad Gita is based on the principle of not bhakti-yoga. There is a difference between karma and karma yoga. Karma is regulated action for the enjoyment of the fruit by the performer, but karma-yoga is action performed by the devotee for satisfaction of the Lord. Karma-yoga is based on bhakti, or pleasing the Lord , whereas karma is based on pleasing the senses of the performer himself.

The message of Godhead is always like nectar to the devotees, but it is just the opposite to the nondevotees. Sugar Candy is always sweet to a healthy man, but it tastes very bitter to persons suffering from jaundice. It is said that giving good counsel to a foolish person causes the fool to become angry, just as feeding milk to a snake only increases its venous poison.

A conditioned soul is absorbed in material existence under the influence of different modes of external energy. Absorbed by false ego, he thinks that he is doing everything by himself. The external energy of the Lord, the material nature, is fully under control of the Supreme Lord, and the conditioned.soul.is fully under the grip of the external energy.

Excerts from the book - Srimad Bhagavatam, third canto, ch. 1 ( Srila Prabhupada )

If there were no help from Christ, there'd be no help from other human beings. He works on us in all sorts of ways: not only what we think our 'religious life.' He works through Nature, through our bodies, through books, sometimes through expierences which seem ( at the time ) anti-Christian. But above all, He works on us through each other. Men are mirrors, or 'carriers' of Christ to other men. Sometimes unconscious carriers.

..... A lot of the older generation knows of governor George Wallace who for a long time was the leader of the white racist movement of the south, but later apologized to black people on live television and said he was completely wrong and changed his ways and racist lifestyle, ......fast forward to June 2023 and now A former leader of the white nationalist movement Brendan who took the psychoactive drug MDMA said it completely changed him and he is no longer racist, and claims to love everyone, ( as time goes on races are becoming more mixed everyday with interfaith and mixed race marriages the majority of people in the u.s.a and elsewhere in the world are now of mixed descent, ( Blue Mink "melting pot" ).as are lots of alien life forms......if people become more aware of this fact then racism will become a thing of the past, those who cannot comprehend this are basically stupid, an embarrassments to their own families at social gatherings ) *
