Josh meant that when he said it to Donna. He knew she still vieved herself as naïve and, in a sense childlike, about the world of politics in which she was immersed as his assistant; but the truth was she was neither. True, she wasn't the battle-hardened political operator he was, but that was in no way a bad thing. She was smart and had come a long way in the years they had worked together, and she had a good heart.

It was something he hoped would never change about her. One of the things he loved about her.
