Regretsby Allison K. East  He told her he would regret dying. That was true, but it wasn’t the whole truth. He had a lot of regrets as he lay there in that cold night. Regrets that he could not… would not… tell Captain Carter. He regretted that he may not get the chance to fix things with Sara. Their marriage was over, he had no doubts about that; but it was still tense between them, since that mission that ended with the chance to say goodbye to Charlie. He regretted that he had never talked to her about his feelings since their son died. He regretted that in his guilt he had shut her out. He regretted that he may not get the chance to tell Sara this. He regretted the regulations that meant that he could not get to know Samantha Carter in any other manner than their current relationship. He regretted that he would never get to know the woman she was. He regretted that she could never know that it wasn’t his ‘side arm’ that she felt (although he suspected that she already knew that). He regretted that he had withstood the ‘Touched’ virus and not given in to her advances that day in the locker room…   Colonel Jonathan “Jack” O’Neill shook his head. The cold and his injuries were making him delirious. There was no time and no need for regrets. They were going to get through this. He was not going to die on some nameless hellhole thousands of light-years from home. No way, no how.   Like it? Tell the author what you think!
