I can only say one good thing about my father and that is that he always said to know every inch of your home backwards and forwards. You should never let your guard down and always know where the exits and entrances are. That little bit of advise I have carried with me since he left and it has come in handy more times than I care to remember. NYC is my home and I know every inch of Greenwich Village like the back of my hand. I know exactly where every crook, drug dealer, and rapist hangs out and I also make it a point to keep them out of my 'playground' and off of my turf.
