The Gaming Style

Here the players just use the rules to play out the adventure.  Letting their role playing come from their decisions and possibly some of their dialogue.

A large part of gamers (especially the ones that go to conventions) play in this style, since it is the easiest to pick up.  It is fun, if not quite as immersive as the Acting Style.  Yet, it can bring the players into the world of the adventure.

Computer games try to recreate the RPG experience, but the scripted story only barely touches the extreme edge of this style.
