COMING TO 10 COLLEGE CAMPUSES IN APRIL

BURBANK, CA (March 13, 2003) — The WB is bringing its popular stars, new bands and fun prizes to college students across the country with Spring Break events in March and a 10-city college tour in April.

“The college audience remains an important part of The WB’s target,” said Suzanne Kolb, Executive Vice President, Marketing of The WB. “These programs were a big success for us last year and we’re thrilled they will be bigger and better this year.”

In March, Jamie Kennedy (“JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiment”) and Aimee Garcia (“Greetings From Tucson”) bring The WB experience to Spring Break 2003 in Panama City, Fla. where more than 400,000 college students are expected. Both stars will appear outside the Hotel Sun Spree, a compound on the beach which features live music, deejays and a variety of activities.

In April, stars of The WB Network and Elektra recording artists are teaming up for a 10-city tour of live concerts and appearances at college campuses across the nation. Featuring live performances by alternative rock bands Socialburn and The Format, the tour is sponsored by T-Mobile and Veet, and produced by Mr. Youth.

"Elektra is excited about the opportunity to take such major priority acts as Socialburn and The Format and marrying them with the young and hip audience that the WB attracts,” said Greg Thompson, General Manager, Elektra Records.  “We see it as a win-win situation for both the WB and our artists, who will be introduced to college audiences by a network that is on the cutting edge of 18-24 year old television."

Elektra Records' Socialburn delivers melodic rock masterpieces that have been all over the airwaves, driven by their first single "Down." The band members are Neil Alday (guitarist/singer/songwriter), Chris Cobb (lead guitar and vocals), Dusty Price (bass and vocals), and Brandon Bittner (drums). Their debut album Where You Are, produced by John Kurzweg (Creed, Puddle Of Mudd) fuses alternative rock with everything from country to metal.

The Format is fronted by Nate Ruess (lead vocals/songwriter) and Sam Means (lead guitar/songwriter) and is set to release its debut album on Elektra in August 2003. The Format’s first single was included on MTV’s "Advanced Warning" CD of bands to watch.

On April 4 in Phoenix, Arizona, The WB will kick-off the 10-city college tour (dates and locations listed below) with network stars (TBA), along with Socialburn and The Format.
