The Hamlin Orange



	Hamlin (or sold as Arizona Sweet in Arizona, like the Marrs, Pineapple, and Diller varieties) (Sweet Orange) *Physical Features* Tree Size: Medium. Tree Characteristics: Moderately vigorous, productive. Slightly more hardy than other sweet oranges. Fruit Size: Medium-small. Fruit Color: Orange. *Sicko Department* Ease of Peeling: Fair. Seeds: Few or none. Holds on Tree: Good. Flavor and Juiciness: Sweet and juicy. The Hamlin is another popular juice orange. Sigh. When will the bleeding ever stop? Along with the Marrs, Pineapple, and Diller varieties, the Hamlin is stuck under the vague grouping of oranges called Arizona Sweets when grown in that state. We must return their ethnical identities! Each variety is diverse and special and does not deserve to thrown under the decidedly gustatory label "Arizona Sweet." Arrrgggh. It makes my blood boil.
