Delivered at 2:19 pm, Monday, October 6th.

Dear Billy,

Well, as my heritage might suggest, you are right – I am not a lifer here in Lauderville. I moved over a little while ago, though I’ve been thinking about taking a trip back home soon. I wasn’t sure, when I was making my plans, how long I’d want to stay in Europe. I’m beginning to have conflicting thoughts. (After all, there are certain factors which ...whom I wouldn’t want to leave behind).

Oh, yes, I am completely honest about buying you a popcorn. On my word. If I don’t, you may send me off to a life of popcorn-less isolation.

And you’re completely right – a comedy would be the best choice for this sort of thing. I’m not much for tragedies anyway. I go for dramas. Maybe a couple horrors, but not many; they may be fun while I’m watching them, but when I return to my dark room at night I end up hating myself for it. They give me cold sweats, you know. And I am a hopeless coward.

I’m holding you to those drinks as well, by the way.

Whenever I buy a new album, there are usually five more new albums in the shopping bag with it. I can never make up my mind about music – I love so many genres. Classical rock is a real big thing for me. But I really listen to anything. Classical is good, but I don’t go through a lot of it at once. Like you say, the lyrics really play an important part. But, then, sometimes I’ll just buy CDs that make for good background music. Most of my music is like that, actually. Though I didn’t realise it until ... well, since we started talking about it actually. Well, you learn something new everyday, I suppose.

You mentioned grading “kiddie tests”... Dom said something about you being a teacher. Is that true? Or am I just making that up in my head? Perhaps you just like to grade kiddie tests for no reason, right? Nothing wrong with that. You could learn a lot from kiddies these days.

The Godfather Trilogy: Very good. I’ve been meaning to watch it again for a time.
Spring: One of my favourite seasons as well. But I also love winter and bundling up to a fire and a good book.
Chocolate: Yes.
Cats: I see. Dom let me have a look at his battle scar. You have trained lions in your house, I hear?
Roses: If Dom did his job right, you should have one in your hands right now.

Thanks for your answers. And for taking care of Dom. He’s been a good confidante so far. I’m sure he appreciates your concern over him with such dangerous wildlife roaming this town.

Sincerely,
MS

Dear MS,

You can tell it's really fall now. I have half a mind to light a fire. Brr.

It's always hard to decide between two homes. To have to decide between the people. Your family or your new friends in Lauderville (I'm glad you've got friends, by the way, that you wouldn't want to leave behind. You're not a recluse like me). Where does your heart belong?

A hopeless coward? I highly doubt that. From the little I know of you, you seem very brave. Not many people would, well, do what you've done as far as these letters go. That's very brave.

But horror movies, I suppose that's another matter entirely.

Is your home filled with music constantly, then? It sounds like it would be. Which sounds wonderful.

Have I not mentioned I'm a teacher? Ha, it seems like that's usually the first thing people find out about me. Yes, I teach first grade in Towerston. There actually aren't that many tests to correct for first graders, but I do get to look at a lot of fabulous art projects. It's a good job, one I wouldn't trade very willingly.

Thank you for the rose. Let's just say one didn't see me frowning much yesterday.

-Billy
