Fun With Birthday Presents
A Billy Entry
Dom bought me a camera for my birthday, which only proves he's one of the smartest men alive. As soon as I opened the package I realized that I'd known him for a year and didn't have a single photograph of him. Not around the house, not in my wallet, not at school... this was a great crime, and it had to be rectified. And it was, almost instantly.
Since I got the camera, we've taken probably four rolls of film. Most of the pictures were of Dom, since if I could help it I kept the camera well out of his hands. There were a few of me thrown in the mix, quite a few of me looking unaware or startled since he practically had to steal the camera and sneak up on me. I also took some of the cats, as any proud cat owner should.
At any rate, many photos were taken, including some that will stay in our own private albums, thank you very much, but there are some that I adore and can't wait to display. Now, to buy a couple dozen picture frames...
I took this one on my birthday, down by the river. I think that was at the point where Dom was still a bit too self-conscious to smile. Still, it's a nice photo. Those arms...
Also on my birthday. I think I might have surprised him with this one.
Early after school one day, when Dom came to pick me up. No, I'm not quite sure what he's doing, but it's cute anyway.
This one's outside the school on another day, after Dom got done showing me the CDs he just bought in Towerston before he picked me up. That's why he looks so pleased with himself, ha ha.
This was last weekend. We decided that since we hadn't had Leon over in awhile and we hadn't invited him along for the birthday celebration, we should invite him over. Of course, it resulted in us drinking far too much.
This is Dom's "It's too early in the morning for pictures, Billy" look. I find it quite fetching, actually.
A later day after school. This is how I find him, leaning against someone else's car and reading one of my magazines that I had been waiting for for nearly a week. He said it got "lost in the mailroom." Ha. Don't know what happened to the film in this one. Must have got scratched when it was being developed.
And look! This is something rare. I actually caught him reading and writing in the house. In the evening. When I was home and everything. Didn't last long after the flash, though.
And now, we interrupt this photo session of Dom for a brief cat interlude. (Hey, I've got to space out the wealth!)
That would be Mass Destruction or MD, the boss.
And her muscle, Bloody Massacre, AKA BM.
And finally, the deceptively innocent looking Total Slaughter (TS).
We now return to our originally scheduled Dom.
We went out for Japanese last week in Towerston. It was delicious, and Dom is a master at the chopsticks, even if I am crap at them and have to use a fork. Unless I want more food in my lap than in my mouth. Which I don't.
A couple nights later we went out for drinks at the Alibi. I don't think Dom liked the fact that I brought the camera out drinking with us, but I think it's a nice picture. Very... rainbow-y.
Yes, I broke into the bathroom to take a picture of Dom in the shower. Hey, I doubt I'm the only one who'd be inclined to do that. Of course, this picture was taken about three seconds before I was yanked in there with him, giving me just enough time to get the camera out of splash's way.
I'm not even going to dictate what this one's preceding. Needless to say, it's one of my favorites and shall stay in a very secret part of my wallet for when I need it.
