CHILDCARE COURSESWelcome to Norton Hall's childcare courses page. The childcare courses available at Norton Hall are:INTRODUCTION TO CARE This is an introductory course designed for people who are interested in working in any aspect of care work e.g. children, elderley, people with disability, mental health and health care. This course is particualarly suitable for people who wish to develop their key skills as well as their caring skills. From this course you can progress onto a ABC certificate for caring skills. Attendance: 4 Days a week for 2 hours lasting for 1 year.

PREPERATION FOR CHILDCARE TRAINING An introductory course for women who are interested in a career in childcare. This is an ideal foundation for those who wish to progress to formal training childcare qualifications such as: NNEB or BTEC National. The course offers the chance to study child development, child safety, play activities and childcare. Attendance: 4 hours,1 day a week for 30 weeks
