We have equipped the Company with Mapping and Survey Alidades - Period Correct, Plane and Mapping Tables - Period Correct, Period Transits, Period-Correct Chain, Chain Pins, Range Rod, and Stadia Board. We also use Period-Correct Telescopes, Dividers, Plumb Bobs, and Arc(s). In Addition, we have equipped the Company with Period-Correct Pioneer and Breastwork Tools/Implements, and Manuals for the Different Sections. We decided to form the 2nd Regiment to tell the little-told Story of the Confederate Engineer Corps...in all aspects. It's a known Fact that Armies cannot accomplish the Mission(s) UNLESS the Engineers do THEIR Job! That Fact remains True to the Present-Day. In case you're considering Joining us, but are concerned about having no Reenacting Experience...Don't be Concerned. Our Senior Engineer had NO reenacting experience himself when he started...he too is an old "chain puller"! If you are Interested in Membership, we will foward you an Application for Membership in the Regiment. There are NO Membership Fees for the Regiment, and Participation in Event(s) is Voluntary, and Family Members are Welcome. We can Assist you in getting Ready for the Impression you wish to portray.
