Dynamic Aviation employs more than 120 people, according to its Web site. In addition to its Bridgewater and Florida locations, Dynamic operates offices, storage and maintenance facilities in California, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Rick Roof, a spokesman for Dynamic Aviation, said the flight was a routine sterile Medfly release (in San Jose) flight in the Gulf Coast. The program releases sterile Medflies as a way to control their population. The pilot, Steve Huisman, 41, of Bradenton, Fla., was killed, and the co-pilot, Sean Launder, 25, of Sarasota, Fla., Peter O. Knight Airport.

Interesting theory, and though I don't doubt that covert operations have the opportunity to take adavantage of access granted to international assistance organizations, the necessary condition of the arguement you make here is that Dynamic Aviation, an aircraft contracting company, is party to covert ops. I am a Dynamic Aviation pilot that ran the Afghanistan program in 2006, and have worked on other Dynamic Aviation programs. I am afraid the perception of what Dynamic Aviation does is far more elaborate than the mundane ops we are contracted to do. Individual pilots may have suspicious backgrounds, but they are the rarity. Most of the guys flying for Dynamic are very low time pilots, often with connections to Chrisitan aviation colleges, that Dynamic uses becasue they are willing to work for low wages and yet have a comparitively high level of knowledge for their experience. Dynamic mostly does sterile-insect spraying in the US and latin America... and personnel transport in Afghanistan. In fact, our primary role in Afghanistan was to pick-up/ drop-off constuction workers on various projects and take them back to Kabul so they could heado ut on vacation. That was about 90% of the work we did. The other 10% was just normal transport of managers to the projects. Sterile Insect spraying is done low-level and this, combined with the relatively low experience of the pilots, provides ample opportunity for accidents. The accident discussed in your article is more a matter of poor judgement on the part of the pilot (which cost him and his co-pilot their lives) than about some kind of strange middle-of-the-hurricane covert ops gone bad. If you knew Dynamic's logistical abilities then you would understand very quickly that coordinating a coup (or even managing to play an integral role in one) is far beyond their capability. They are a successful aviation company that promotes itself as having a strong Christian ethic. I think this choice to market itself this way has more to do with the Central Virginia community it exists within than its real moral essence.

GOVERNOR WARNER ANNOUNCES 206 NEW JOBS FOR ROCKINGHAM COUNTY RICHMOND- Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Dynamic Aviation will invest $4.1 million to expand its facility at Bridgewater Airport in Rockingham County. The project will create 206 new jobs, including avionics technicians, airframe technicians, engine repair technicians and electricians. Virginia successfully competed against Maryland, Oklahoma and West Virginia for the project. Pablo Cuevas, Chairman, Rockingham County Board of Supervisors.
